Will aquarium salt kill my fish?

I know mollies like a little aquarium salt in their tank but, what about swordtails, guppies, and platys? Will that kill them if I put a little in? Will it hurt my cory cats? I have several 55 gallon tanks with platys, mollies, cory cats, and swordtails can I put some in with them?

no, just follow the direction on the box. In fact, guppies, mollies, and platies all prefer some aquarium salt.

no it should not hurt anything unless you put too much! Read the back of the tub or carton but usually it is 1 tbs per 5 gallons!

Aquarium salt will not hurt the sword tails, the guppies or platy’s but cory cats, it is not good for them.. I you have cory’s do not use salt.

I would not put aquarium salt in with your cory cats. I would put it in with the guppies, mollies, and platys that do not have cory cats in their tanks. Read the directions on the box and follow it carefully.

Aquarium salt should NOT be used with cory cats as they are very sensitive fish and do not tolerate it well. Aquarium salt is very good for mollies, platys, and swordtails though so if you have tanks without cory cats then it will be beneficial to add the salt because it helps prevent diseases.
