Why is there always white stuff floating around in my fish tank no matter how many “fungus clears” I use?

I have been having this problem for months and I can’t get it to go away, no matter how many times I clean the water or use fizzy tabs to get rid of the fungus. I only have 1 fish, he has cottony growths on his body and face sometimes, it keeps coming back, and cottony growths is fungus as far as I’m aware.
What should I do?
I have a beta. and I just bought the tank a week ago, to put the fish in as his other tank was always getting the white stuff in it.

Those are flakes. They are normal in almost any fish tanks, as I have them in mine, too. You can’t do anything about the flakes, but they don’t harm the fish as long as you clean regularly.
buy a new tank
when your fish tank is near the sun light it will produce fungus. good luck
What kind of fish are you talking about and what sort of tank are you housing it in?
I believe there is some cottony growth drops you can buy or something, they have something avialabe like that
salt water or freshwater, because my salt watertank had white floaty stuff for months, but it went away. try algae cleaners instead of fungus. idk if algae is a fungus or not, but it cant hurt to try.
Nothing to worry about, just clean the tank out often and it wont harm the fish at all.
Go to the store where you bought it and ask them. It may be normal for the fish or maybe a disease.
It could be a disease as I ran into this problem many times with Goldfish, however you could get a bottom feeder fish this will help with excess fungus and provide your other fish with some company.
If they are small white spots on your fish, then it is a disease called Ich. Now for the problems with your tank, one suggestion I give to people is not to use very many chemicals. The more you use, the more harm you are causing to your fish tank. Not to say that all are bad, but use in moderation. My suggestion is to change the filter, when you do this rinse the filter in cold water for a few seconds. Then do a 25% water change. Be sure to put in water conditioner, or let the water sit out overnight in a bucket to get rid of the chlorine. Then in a week if it is still there do a 20% change. The fizzy tabs are a waste of money and do absolutely nothing for your tank. As for your possible ich problem, the water change will help, also get some Aquarium salt and put it in a cup then sink it to the bottom of your tank, if you have a tank heater, crank it up til the water reaches about 80-82 degree’s. In a few days you will notice the Ich spots are basically gone. But they aren’t, they are just detached from your fish, but are still in the water. So for that you should do a 10-20% water change every 2 days for about a week. That should take care of that problem. Hope this helps.
first things first, every time you medicate your fishtank, you destroy the good bacteria, unless you use maracyn TC, which doesn’t do that
I would recommend stop using this fizz tabs, they won’t help
if you really want to get rid of the fungus on your betta do the following
Do a 50% waterchange right away and start treatment with Maracy-Plus for 10 days
but always watch your parameters during this time, since your tank is not yet cycled
you should be fine, but you will however see spikes in nitrites and ammonia after about 2-3 weeks, then they will drop and you will se nitrAtes, which is the end of the nitrogen cycle
every tank goes through that, and it takes 6-8 weeks to complete
Unless, you use filtermedia, gravel and water from an already established tank, which will usually cut down the cycling time, or you won’t see a cycle process at all if you used everything from another tank
Also, you will experience cloudiness in your tank as well, which means your tank is establishing good bacteria
Feel free to email me for further Q’s
hope that helps
Good luck
