Why is my fish not moveing, whats the white stuff, why’s he have trouble swiming,is there something I can do?

I have two goldfish in a 10 gallon tank, I had three, eachone was different, two were regular size one was small, well the small one died recently from the suction of the filter, now my black goldfish doesnt look too well, he seems to be haveing trouble swiming to the top, its like he just stops and floats to the bottom! My other fish is fine, he just swims around normally. (this fish almost died once, but I saved him, because I would not let him die, his name is angel =D) there is also this white stuff around the black one that I read could be fungas or something like that, I tried softly useing my finger to wipe it off it was comeing off and he still got a little on him. I just dont know what to do whats wrong with my fish? (they are both fancy goldfish)

Sounds like he has ICK . A nearby pets store should carry this remedy.

it is a fungus, my oscar had this fungus and it got so bad that it got in his eyes and made one of his eyes explode, u can go to a petsmart or petco and get a fungus remover, if it is ick as some1 suggested, ick is just like dots on them, a fungus is like cotton

theres a medicine or lotion that u put in the water to treat the fungus i recommend that you buy it as soon as possible

He has a fungus. You need to go to the pet store and get him some medicine. I would also be a good idea to put your other fish in a separate tank so he doesn’t get infected. Although, he might already be and not showing any signs yet.

if its white and fluffy its definatly fungus dont touch it its not good 4 you and you will scair the fish.your local pet store will have a treatment called anti fungus there are instructions in the booklet which is in the box with the treatment it will tell you what to do. if you catch it early they will be fine.if its white spots it is a disease called white spot there is treatment at the pet store for that 2.both of these are diseases that tend to be due to a dirty tank makesure you clean it regulary and dont over feed them they should eat the food you give them in 5 minutes .good luck

It does sound like Ick. They sell a water treatment. Its either blue or green that you put like 10 drops in. If you act fast you should be able to save them. Make sure you are only changing the water at small amounts at a time, you have a 10 gal tank so too much water transfer can cause them to get sick. Check the temp too make sure its around 70F too hot or too cold will make them lethargic.

first of all you dont put goldfish in a 10 gallon tank, they need a minimum of 30 per goldfish, second, your goldfish didnt die from filter suction, it died because it was weak, most likely due to ammonia poisoning because of overcrowding the tank, third, you should NEVER handle your fish with your hands because the slime that the fish carries on its body helps it to swim and combat many deceases Fourth, what the fish have is ich, a fungi that you can correct by putting it in a separate tank and setting the temperature at 82 – 84 degrees and adding a 1/4 tablespoon of aquarium sat to the water so the life cycle of the ich will speed up and die faster, and number 5 get a bigger tank or trade you fish for something smaller for that tank you have.

It is ICH.. A good medication that has saved many of my fish is called Coppersafe.

Try a Ich Cure, then make a proper water change, read instructions very carefully and act ASAP or they will all die and the tank will be infected, it spread very fast!

you need to treat your goldfish, one has fungus and the other has swim bladder disease
get some fungus medicine at pet shop along with some aquarium salt
add 2-3 tablespoons of salt and the dosage on the fungus medicine, in one week change 1/4 tank and re-treat with salt and medicine
    good luck with your fish

first please dont try and remove the fungus your self as you might be hurting your fish and i would put him in a separate tank. you can buy remedies that you put in the water from your fish shop so if i were you i would go and get one and fast! good luck.
