Why did my fish die and should I move some of my other fish to the other aquarium?

I had a betta I had for about 3 weeks inside of my 10 gallon tank. It had been killing all the other fish inside of it but today a couple days later after it killed my albino corry it died. I notice it wasn’t doing too hot in the morning but I came home and it was dead. There were tan marks under its gills were the tan marks when I got it was on the top of its upper fin. It was a nice and purple one and the day before it was so active. I noticed on the rocks that were in there from our pond they had excess algae. Could that have gotten him sick? I took all the rocks out the night before to clean them but hadn’t put them back in yet.

Now, on with the 29 gallon 5-goldfish tank that many of you guys know about. I have 5 goldfish in a 29 gallon consisting of 2 goldfish are somewhere in between 5 and 6 inches long (it says their maximum size is 6 inches) no matter what they are staying inside of the 29 gallon. I also have three smaller goldfish in there. all three are an inch to an inch and a half long. Should I move them into the smaller aquarium once I clean it of all the algae on the bottom and clean all of the plants and gravel and let it cycle again? Or just leave them in the 29 gallon since they are all thriving and seem to be ‘friends’
I just emptied out the 10 gal and will clean all the stuff tomorrow and clean it again when I decide to get more fish. I will just get cheap fish next time i na few months if all these goldies survive. I don’t want to deal with another aquarium until I get a handle on my 29 gal.

You have to many fish in one tank. They are overcrowded and being overcrowded can kill them. I would only have 2-3 in that size of a tank. That gives them room to grow. Also, make sure you put chlorine remover in when you change the water.

Betta’s are by themselves at the store for a reason. They kill. A little algae is not going to hurt. If it get to be a problem than use chemicals you do not need to change the water that often unless is just a partial water change. Changing the water completely can stress them out.

Make sure you only add 1-3 fish at a time. Adding to many fish at one time can kill ALL of your fish.

I think you might not have set up any aquarium filters yet. Cause, as we need clean water for healthy life, fishes too….!!
You must switch to powerful filter available over this one —> http://www.agritura.com/index.php/cat/c362_Technical-Components.html
