we have tropical fish and gold fish in the same tank and we were wondering if the tropical fish would be ok eating the goldfish food or should we just get the tropical food and have them all eat that. also would it be better if we gave them both foods.

The gold fish food would have in nutrients that suit a golf fish structure, gold fish eat almost anything, if you wish you can feed both or if the other fish eat the gold fish food, give them all goldfish food, if they don’t eat it then feed them all the tropical fish food, the tropical fish food has the basic nutriends needed for fish growth and stability
hope it helped
Give them tropical because golfish food will be to acidic for the tropics
OK, I had a pet store for 3 years.
Everyone got fed from the same can.
Goldfish food has higher levels of spirullena alga, that’s it.
Just feed a high quality foods (no tetra, stick with wardly) and you’ll be fine.
Just a pinch every other day is best. Less is more when it come to fish food.
The difference is the ingredients. Goldfish food has a lot more grains, starches, and so forth. Tropical fish food has higher levels of meaty ingredients like shrimp, fish, worms, etc.
But if you’re keeping them all in the same tank (not a good idea, for other reasons), it’s going to be hard to control which fish eats what, so you may want to compromise by feeding a mixture of both kinds of food.
