whats a pet i can keep in an aquarium besides fish?
because everything i buy to go into water keeps dying because its a weird shaped aquarium from japan and it had a wierd filter in it that i couldnt replace for less than 300 dollars so i didnt use one, so i decided to just give up on water and put some sand in the bottom and put a scorpion in it, but i’m not sure about a scorpion and i’m sure i dont want a tarantula, so what else could i put in my aquarium besides a lizard or snake or tarantula or scorpion and thats not aquatic
its a huge aquarium and its about 3 feet tall by 5 feet widebut the top inside has gass shelves on both sides to put food and stuff on and you have to ut the filter i the middle and let a pipe go down and the only kind i can find hook over the back and the shelves are in the way of the pipe to go down

a hamster an ant farm why cant you get a diffrent fliter? bring pictures of the tank and possibly the old filter to a pet store they may be able to help you have you looked on e-bay for one?
i keep hampsters and rats in aquariums.
Hermit crabs (do lots of research, they can be tricky to keep)
Leopard Geckos
Carnivorous plants
If it’s big enough get a bearded dragon or a tortoise. They are really cool, but need space.
Hissing cockroaches
Mice, Rats, hamsters, gerbils make great pets if the tank is big enough.
Well, make sure you get rid of the scorpion, tarantula, etc. before you consider another pet. Depending on how big the aquarium is, you might try a gerbil, mouse, hamster, or guinea pig. You mention the aquarium is an odd shape — there’s no area that a small animal could get caught in, is there? Hopefully, it is safe and you would also be able to fit a wheel in the aquarium as well. It would also be good to get a screen top to the aquarium so you don’t have to worry about your pet getting out – or anything else getting in!
Good luck. We had all of the above for our daughter as she was growing up, and all were great companions!
