I want something other than a beta, like neon tetras. What type of fish can I keep happy and healthy in this small but wonderful little home? Here’s a link to the deminsions and a photo: http://www.warehouse-aquatics.co.uk/azoo-water-lily-aquarium-3096-p.asp

The only drawback I can see with this tank is that it lacks a hood, and adding one would certainly take away from the display.
The only fish I would add is a betta, and they have been known to jump out of uncovered tanks.
I was going to suggest some White Cloud Minnows, but looking at the specs closer the measurments are the overall size of the tank, not the size of the water space.
The manufacturers web site says it’s 2 gallons, about 8 litres.
Neons are quite sensitive to water quality, and need warm water to survive. I would not try keeping them in that tank.
Seriously, it’s pretty, but it’s not a good tank from the fish’s point of view. Just not enough water for most fish,.

these tanks seem to be more pretty than practical. i wouldn’t use it to keep anything that is living, except maybe some plants. neon tetras are a bad idea, they are very sensitive, i have found. they need adequate filtration and frequent water testing/changes. go with the betta. they are hardier.
