I want to get salt water fish. What supplies do I need? What do I have to buy? And if you do how much will it cost in all? Where could I get the supplies cheap(and the fish)??? I would like a ten gallon tank.
Is there a salt water aquarium for starters?
Plz Help.
Thank you!!!

Don’t get a 10 gallon. These are extremely har to maintain and should only be kept by experienced marine aquarists.
Go for atleast a 29 gallon.
My friend has spent a little over $1000 on her set up, including her fish and such.
Personally i would buy a nano cube which has all the things you need already installed, like pump, skimmer, lights,….
for a 29 gallon (which is the best to start with, because it’s easier to keep stable) you can expect to pay anywhere from $250-500, just for the tank itself
you can expect to pay anywhere rom 700-1500 bucks by the time you’re finished
Hope that helps
Good luck

Ok you would want a 10 gallon reef aquarium that consists mostly of inverts and 1 Goby(your choice they are all nice)
your equiptment you need are
10 gallons worth of salt: 10dollars
10 gallon tank: 15 dollars
40 gallon filter: 40 dollars
20 gallon heater:35 dollars
15 pounds of live rock: 135 dollars!
10 pounds of live sand 20 is ok 2: 30 dollars
4 turbo snails: 10 dollars
1 cleaner shrimp: 4-20 dollars
goby: 8-16 dollars
light power compact: 100 dollars
Corals Lsp Sps Mushrooms starter pack: 60 dollars
top to the tank: 20 dollars might come with tank
Ok roughly 400 dollars and thats a cheap way to look at it…..
imean you can go basic saltwater with just salty water thats like 120 but reef is nicer the way you want to go about starting it is purchasing none live things 1st like tank light salt mixed with water get a hydrometer to test salt heater filter let it run dry for 1 week…
then get live sand let it sit for 2 to 5 days then add live rock after rock settles and the creatures emurce make sure there is no apistasia on it… make your heater to 78 to 80 be careful your light might increase temp….
then get mushrooms after 2 months of sit time(no fish or inverts) or corals this is a great sight.. then add the goby 1 just 1 and then after 1 week get your inverts and after 1 year you can get an anemone its a pain in the Ars but darn tootin its worth it good luck and email me if you have any problems or further questions i currently have a 20 long reef tank..
55 gal min. tank ! protean skimer, vortexsand filter and fluval350 cost around 450.00. start with damsales then go from there. but go slow !!
