What are good tank mates for a firemouth cichlid?

I have a 30 gallon tank, sand bottom, rocks, caves, and fake plants.
My firemouth is only about 3 inches long right now. I am unsure of its sex.

some larger schooling fish like giant danios, tiger barbs, rosy barbs, or congo tetras would be nice.. andything that is top dwelling like killifish, gouramis, hachetfish, etc should also be fine
a striped or rapheal catfish would make for a nice bottom feeder, if you would ever see em lol
30g really doesn’t allow any heavy bio-load fish with the Firemouth (if this is meant to be longterm housing) but does allow for low bio-load fish like Tetras… so I’d suggest a school of 4-6 larger Tetra like Emperors or Buenos Aires and (assuming this is a 36″ long standard 30g) a Bristlenose Plec OR White Line Pim (Pimelodus albofasciatus).
