Tips for catching my own aqarium fish?

I just got my saltwater tank back up and running. It a 40 gallon and I just recently got it back up and running. I used to catch my own fish with the Clear Tropical fish nets. Well those were lost in the move and I don’t really have the $$$ to spend on some more. Anyway are there any other methods of catching me some nice tropicals without the Clear nets or slurp guns? Can’t i just use a regular tank net. I know it will be next to impossible but has anyone done it?
Karlee………Actually where I live this is a hobby to many people. And its not cruel. Its a vast ocean with trillions upon trillions of fish and I take maybe 3 or 4. They are well taken care of. It’s no different than if you were to have something like a parrot. Do you think birds like being in cages or cooped up when they have the entire world at their disposal??? Give me a break Its a simple question.
My usual method is to snorkle around and sort of trap the fish in his hiding place and he simply swims into the clear net…..(with a little persuasion) Are there any other methods that will not harm the fish.

THAT IS JUST CRUEL! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF YOU COULD BE FREE TO DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE & THEN A GIANT NET CAME DOWN, SCOOPED YOU UP & PLOPPED YOU INTO A TANK!! YOU TRY ESCAPING AND JUST KEEP HITTING THE SIDES!!! People like you disgust me, I’m totally ashamed to even type this to such a person! To do such a thing is even illegal in the UK, is it in USA ?

Wow the other guys is mad, Normal green fish nets are fine, I catch my fish with them all the time when I clean or move the aquarium.
