setup consists for 40 gallon wide tank, 200 watt heater, emperor 400 filter, and many other accessories.

unfortunately, due to my strict parents and their heavy pressure and criticism, I most likely have to let go of the 40 gallon tank (because its too big, how am i going to change the water, etc)
even though i know 40 gallons is still not enough for 2 RES’s the size I have. In reality w/no limits, I should be having 80 gallons, for example.

So because i have to return the 40 gallon, I need to get another one still, my best option right now is to get a 29 gallon, even though i dont like that one because the botttom is not wide at all, it is much more of a fish tank. the 40 gallon i got right now is wide and it is perfect for plenty of room for the 2 turtles.

question is, is the emperor 400 too much for a 29 gallon? (it works up to 80 gallons) i origionally bought the emperor 280 (it works up to 50 gals). is more the better? meaning, 2x the easier the tank? 2x cleaner? thank you!!!

I have one fish that has a fungal infection the rest of the fish in the tank seem to be happy and health. I have got melafix to treat him with do i need to move in out of the big tank into a different one to treat him or can i treat him in the big tank with the other health fish. I would prefer to leave him in the bank tank to avoid any unnecessary stress for him?

My three year dumped a whole jar of fish food into my fish tank along with old check books, a CD, a screw driver pen caps, credit cards and other paper work. I’m already two weeks into cycling this tank. Is there any way to get it all out with out starting a new cycle. The siphon hose is only getting a little out. Do I need to start all over because of the carbon copies in the old check books? How do I get the food off my filter cage? Help the water is getting nasty fast.

i always have left over food and fish poop everywhere
i hate it because the bottom of the tank makes everything dirty when the filter is on (btw its on all the time)
is there anything i can do to the bottom of the tank without cleaning the whole tank
can i buy sucker fish or no. please help!
