How Can I Convince My Parents To Let Me Wash The Dishes?

My parents never gave my brothers and I any chores to do. Thsi year I decided to start washing the dishes because I want SOME responsability. I washed, dried and put them away 2 times a day (after I ate lunch and dinner). Today while I was washing my dishes my dad told me to stop washing the dishes because it was annoying him. I don’t understand why he does not want me to wash the dishes, I would think he would want me to help my family to do chores but obviously I am wrong. I do everything right when I wash the dishes: I never use to much water, I wash them unitl they are clean an I dry them nicely. My mom also will not let me an she is just telling me “because I said so”. My parents are always telling me to become more mature, but they will not even let me do this.
How can I convince my parents to let me wash the dishes? Also why would’nt they want me to wash the dishes. Just do not bing up the whole “you should be happy that you do not have chores” thing because I WANT to wash the dishes. I am also not to young so do not say that.
I also can not do any of my hobbies because they are to weak for them (oragami) or they “because they said so” (breeding new platy strains in the empty fish tank they will not let me use.) I do not really like to play sports so I really have nothing fun to do in my free time ( I am bored of spending so much time on video games). Why cant I do this and any suggestions for how to convince them?

My son sprayed Spray N Wash in the bucket we use to do water changes in our fish tank!?

And we did a water change before we realized it. Now the fish are dying off. We changed most of the water, but they are still dragging. What would that do to the fish? What chemicals should we use to get it back to where we can add fish? Would it raise or lower PH? Acid? Help?!

What’s the BEST way to WASH a Fish tank?

Okay, lately when I’ve washed our 10 Gallon Fish tank I’ve used soap but is soap a mistake? And if so, why? I do rinse very well and I do it to try and keep the tank as clean and clear/beautiful as possible. If anyone can help me out it is greatly appreciated! God bless and thank you all very much! :)

i’ve always been washing out my fish tank with dish soap, i always rince it really good. the other day one of my friends came over, and asked me how i get my fish tank to clean, i told her with dish soap, and she freaked out, saying that i was going to kill my fish. i’ve always done this. is it bad for my fish?

what would happen to the fish if i didnt wash the filter sponge?

i replaced all the water in my 40 gallon tank. then i replaced the filter cartridge.

but i only rinsed it didnt really clean it before putting it into the filter nd now its kinda cloudy.

is it cloudy because i didnt clean the cartridge well enough? or is it because i replaced all the water?

however i always replace all of the water every time i clean the tank and it only stays cloudy for a few hours but this time its been cloudy for 2 days already

i already know bout cycling so dont giv me some bs about how i shoulda left some water for important germs or watever…

anyway the point is if the cloudiness of the water is from the filter cartridge is it harmful to the fish? nd when will it go away?

Can I wash my fish tank with dish liquid soap without consequences for my fish?

I’ve had my two small goldfish for about 5 days now, and the small (maybe 12 inch) tank and rock reek! eww. I was wondering if I can use a dish liquid soap like palmolive to clean the tank and rocks. Would it hurt my fish at all? I’m already in the process of cleaning it, and can’t go out to buy anything..so is it alright? How about windex?
