Treatment for ick went really well… now… ?

ok I had a tank of tetras and mollies that had spots of ick. I treated by doing a water change… removing the carbon part of the filter as recommended… raising the temp a few degrees and adding 1 tbsp of aquarium salt per 5 gallons of water.

the next day, the ick spots were going. But I thought I should leave well enough alone for a bit to make sure the infection is killed.

day 2 and the ick is still gone, everyone seems to be doing well. no one got stressed from the addition of salt… so it seems to be ok.

Should I do a water change and remove some of the salt? Do I do a water change and replace some of the salt removed? Should I re-add the carbon to the filter? Should I just leave well enough alone for a few more days THEN do a water change and remove some of the salt?
I did disolve the salt before I added it. As I was doing the water change, it was disolving in the replacement water.

Treatment for injured Oscar fish?

My husband and I have a 90 gallon freshwater tank. We had a few South American Cichlids in it- and our 7-8″ Oscar got beaten up quite badly while we were gone this afternoon. He is missing several scales, his fins have been bitten and he has a couple lacerations. What should we do to make him well? Should we buy some medication? We removed the two “mean” fish out of the tank and we are going to take them to the fish store when they open tomorrow. Thanks for any info from any knowledgable “fish people.”

how long does it usually take, after treatment, for ich to start disappearing?

I added a green mal. ich treatment to my tank yesterday, but so far my clown hasn’t shown a lot of improvement, other than a slightly increased appetite. I have a 10 gal. nano reef with around 25lbs. of live rock, 2 stripe-legged hermit crabs, an emerald crab, 3 astria snails, a turbo snail, an unknown anemone from around fiji, a pulsating xenia coral, clownfish(sick), and a 3 spot dominoe damselfish. I have also noticed what appeared to be some tiny shrimp thath have appeared in my tank.

Ick treatment for 45 gallon aquarium.?

okay well i would like some help on how i should treat ick in my 45 gallon tank. It is stocked with a firemouth cichlid, blood parrot cichlid, red tailed shark, bristlenose pleco, and 6 tiger barbs. All of these fish are juveniles, as none of them exceed 4 inches yet. I would like to treat this infestation in natural ways if possible nather than medication. Preferably the salt method. Will this work? and how much should i add and when should it be added, ect.
any help is greatly appreciated!
