Is My Ich Treatment Working?

I have a 30 gallon tank (bolivian ram, 1 platy, 9 neon tetras, 2 black tetras, 2 female guppies, 2 male guppies,3 ghost shrimp, 2 cherry shrimp, 1 yellow shrimp, 1 clam) I will not be adding anymore fish. 1 male guppy and 1 female guppy have white spots on them and I see my ram and some neons scratch against some plants and gravel but no white spots. 2 days ago I started using a product call herbtana. Its suppose to be 100 percent natural chemical and it cures diseases. I didnt want to kill my shrimp thats why i used natural chemical. I also raised my water temperature to 88 degrees, and I’m feeding them freeze dry blood worms which they go crazy for. The infected guppys seem to act normal and active but is there something else I should be doing or am I doing something wrong? Thanks :) Ammonia, Nitrate, and PH are all in normal levels and I did a 15% water change along with cleaning the gravel before starting this treatment and I also removed the carbon from the filter.

Betta Fish Has Possible Injury, Diagnosis And Treatment?

I have a few years experience with owning a large 30 gal tank with freshwater tropical fish, but at work we have a few 2 gallon betta tanks that I have been in charge of taking care of since we got them 2 months ago. I know enough about them to take general care for them. Due to the small sizes of the tanks, I closely monitor nitrate levels and do frequent water changes.
When I came to work this morning, I noticed one of the betta fish had what looks like an injury to its head in between his eyes. It is a whitish gray uneven spot. The fish doesn’t seem to be acting odd, he eats, swims around actively, and rests in his plant like normal.
What is the best way to help the healing process?
I am wondering if the changes I made to the tank could have caused this?
3 days ago, I added a small mystery snail (pomacea canaliculata, we will move it to my larger tank at home when it gets bigger), I added a small under-gravel heater to raise the temperature from 70 to 80 degrees since it has gotten colder outside, and I added a small fish “house” for the betta to hide.
I also noticed this fish likes to hang out a lot by the filter and will let himself be sucked to it by the light suction. We thought he was sick when we first noticed this when we got him, but if we move towards the tank, he swims away from it. We decided it was just a weird thing he liked to do. I’m not sure how to stop it from doing this, but it didn’t seem to be hurting him…

That sounds like you got some tainted water somewhere that was way high on nitrates or nitrites and you have a bacteria of some kind growing. I would start first with a tap water test to see what is in your tap water, and also test the nitrates and nitrite levels on your tank. You may also need to clean the tank top to bottom, and see if that helps too. There also are some commercial treatments for bad water, but first you need to find the cause, and I would lay odds it is something in the water or something that was added to the tank like shells or a rock or mineral that is not tank approved, or even wood. Check and see, and best of blessings on this,

help with ich treatment in goldfish?

i recently added a new fish to my tank. i didnt realize he had ich…so i treated the tank with 2 table spoons of aquarium salt per 10 gallons of water and raised the water temperature to 82… well the fish who originally had the ich is fine now but my goldfish are showing signs now…can/should i add more salt? if so how much?
i should add that a) i dont like ich treatments that contain malachite green because i think they are too harsh b) i try to keep a ‘natural’ aquarium c) i have a scaless catfish in my aquarium therefore i cant use those malachite green ich treatments, plus i already have the salt in there and find it does a much better jobs.
