Should I Clean My Goldfishs’ Tanks…? Not Sure?

I have two large goldfish, one big, the other REALLY big! Haha. The bigger one is like 8 years old and the smaller one is about 5. They each have separate tanks. They are reallllly dirty, and I’m concerned about what it is doing to their health (plus it doesn’t look nice), but at the same I’m almost worried that they’ve just gotten so used to it that it would be bad to CLEAN the tanks. Also, my dad has always been the one to clean the fish tanks but he hasn’t done it in a really long time (yes, I have asked him several times before to clean it, and even when he does, he hardly gets it clean) but I could certainly learn to do it myself. What do you think??? Please help! Thank you :)

What Is The White Stuff On My Tank’s Walls?

I noticed that almost over night this small white spots appeared on the walls of my 10 gallon fish tank. So far as I can tell my fish aren’ affected, no white spots on them, so it doesn’t seem like ick (at least not yet). They don’t seem like hard spots, the sway a little with the water current and if I tap the glass. What is it and do I need to be worried? If so, how to I get rid of them?
A little history on my tank:
About 9 months old, freshwater. A fish did die about a two weeks before the spots appeared.
I’ve completely replaced the filter system after the fish died since it didn’t seem to be cleaning the water properly anymore despite the bio bag change.
I also cycled the water before replacing the filter system.
I have 2 dwarf gourami, two hatchets, 3 panda catfish and 2 upside down catfish.

You get several different types of snail, but common pond snails are the most frequent hitchhikers. They’re harmless, though lots of people will freak out when they see them.

They are Intermediate Bulk Containers. You can get them in various sizes. It’s common to see 250 gal (~946 liters) tanks but you can get them hundreds of gallons bigger or smaller. They’re used for all sorts of bulk products.

My Saltwater Tank’s Water Is Murky At 3 Weeks Any Tips?

It is a 29 gallon biocube with a 1inch long purple lobster, HUGE turbo snail, Coral Banded Shrimp, 18lbs of liverock, a 1.5 in thick sand bed, a 9in long Snowflake eel, and a sand sifter snail. It was pretty much crystal clear after the first 5 days but by the mddle of the second week, it became cloudy often and pretty murky. I clean my filter once or twice a day and added a small cleanup crew butit is still bad… My tank checked out to be fish ready yesterday (week 3) so I added a baby Snowflake eel. I feed him a fish and it made a mess and then, he made a nice tunnel thing that clouded up the water but now after like 4 hours of nothing moving, it is still murky… not bad but not crystal clear byFAR. I was looking into protein skimmers would that help? The eel is doooing fine other than a territory fight with my baby lobster he looks happy under hes big rock. I was also looking at sumps and reugiums and was wondering If I could add some barnicles to the bioball filter system… I also want to know if protein skimmers for 30 gallons are cheap and if they are easy to use like just plugging them in. my temp is around 76.
please help with helpful comments not jerk know it all remarks scolding me and pretending to be experts cough cough alec and mike. no offense but lay off on the harshness I am a beginer
