I Need Help Stocking A 30 Gallon Freshwater Aquarium?

I have this fish tank and I’m pretty sure it is a 30 gallon. It will be a tropical fish tank, I was wondering about stocking because I’ve only had 10 gallons before and I wasn’t allowed to use the 30 gallon. So I first thought about what decorations I’ll have in the tank. I have never used the backgrounds sold in pet stores, but the tank has to stay in the basement and I don’t really like the wall that the tank sets in front of. So I think I will just get a plain blue background or maybe a blue one with bubbles. Then I thought about decorations. My brother has some old driftwood so if it is clean then I think I may use it. I don’t really care whether or not it looks natural. In my 10 gallon tank I have some plants and a small piece of driftwood. So you think it will be all natural, then right up front in the middle is Spongebob Squarepant’s pineapple house. So natural or not, it just doesn’t matter to me. So back to my 30 gallon. I’m sure I will have some plants. I’m not sure if they will be live or fake. I don’t do all that good with live plants though. I will have gravel for the substrate. I think I will just go to Lowe’s or some other home building store and get a bag of gravel there and make sure to rinse it out really well and use that.
So now I need help with the fish part. I wanted to put just one angelfish in the tank with a few other fish. Now my main questions:
1). If I did go with the one angelfish and other fish, what other fish could I put with it?
2). I’m pretty sure angelfish are freshwater right? Or am I wrong?
3). If I had an upside down catfish, what fish could I put with it?
4). If I put a dwarf puffer fish, what other fish could go with it?
5). Can dwarf puffers live in freshwater?
So right now the tank is cycling so I have 30 days to figure out what fish can go in there. Thanks!

Aquarium Stocking “generator”?

Ages ago I heard of a site where you input tank size, fish you want, number of fish, etc and it will calculate adult sizes and let you know if what you want will be overstocking. I’m looking into doing up a 55 and would love to check that out and play around with it a bit to get ideas. Forgive me for using “generator”, but I just can’t think of the word and thus can’t look it up on search engines.

55 Gal Stocking! Will This Fter Work? Forgot How To Cycle! Please Answer!?

Ok! So I’m getting a 55 gal from my friend soon. I just bought a filter, greavel and and aerator bubbler thing.
I have afew questions!
Will a marineland, biowheel, power filter penguin 350 filter be good for my 55 gal? It was it filters 350 gals per hour and it’s for up to 70 gallons?! It’s a African cichlid tank.
I only had enOugh money for 1 20lb bag of rocks. So it will only be a small layer of rocks!
Also the heater I have is a aquaculture aquarium heater. It’s the old kind but still works. But I have no idea how many watts it is! On the bottom it says 120V 60HZ. Can u tell how many watts with just that?
The stocking will be eventually 1 electric yellow cichlid,
1 tangerine cichlid,’
2 assorted cichlids……………. These 4 cichlids I already have and don’t no the sex on some.
And I will be getting like 7 or 8 peacock cichlids!
So. I have a 75 gal, 20 gal, 10 gal and 5 gal and I don’t remember cycling them!
So I need to no the step by step process on how to cycle! Like dont leave out anything. When I should do water changes, and stuff like that! Don’t leave out any details please. And should I ddo a fishlish cycle with just fish food or with fish? What’s ever goes quickerrr! If ii should to a fish cycle, I have guppies, tetras, platties or albino bristlenose pleco to cycle it with.
Thankss

New Ideas For Stocking A 25g Aquarium?

I’ve had this aquarium for a while, and as my fish have died off, I haven’t been replacing them. I’d like to do something fairly dynamic, even though it is such a small space. Any ideas?

Ideas For Stocking Fish Tank?!?

I have a 16 gallon (USA) 14 gallon (UK) and at the moment I have 4 Neon tetra’s. Its lightly planted and has bogwood. I clean the filter every week and a 25% water change with gravel cleaner.Im not a person who does NO research on cycling and fish so don’t worry about that. I do keep the tank in good shape the best I can I wanted to see if I could have this for my stock, also remember to add your ideas! Maybe your past experiences.
Here’s the stock:
8 Neon Tetras (Could I squeeze in 10?)
1 Dwarf Gourami (Maybe Honey one because there the smallest! Or a Neon Blue one.)
6 Corries (Or 4 If 6 is pushing it)
If I didn’t get the Corries could I have a Bulldog Pleco? Because I’ve heard about people having them In my size of tank.
If I have to I WILL do a water change 2 times a week.
REMEMBER TO ADD YOUR IDEAS IF YOU HAVE SOME
Thanks:)

Stocking A 29 Gallon Aquarium, Ideas And Suggestions Please?

I recently moved my male betta, cory catfish, and 4 white cloud minnows into a 29 gallon aquarium (I know it was overstocked they were not in there for long). I would like to add some more fish in there but I’m not sure what. I know cories are schooling fish so if I get 5 more of those and 2 more white clouds would that be fully, over, or understocked? If understocked what else could I put in? I’ve always liked dwarf gouramis, angelfish and cherry shrimp. Could I put any of those in? Or what over types of fish would do well with the ones I have now (no guppies, platys or mollies)? The measurements of the tank is 23 inches tall 24 inches wide, and 13 inches depth. Also my betta is very friendly, he has NEVER attacked another fish, and welcomes newcomers into his home without hesitation. There are a couple live plants, and lots of hiding places.
