I’ve got a 4ft tropical tank, with an external filter, because of the external filter tubing part of the lid at the back remains a little bit open.
I do frequent water changes (15% every week), but my water still smells and because of the lib being open it’s making my room smell as well.
What can I do to remedy this?
I would appreciate any and all help.
i just started keeping fish a few months ago and i have a 125, 90, 75, 55, 40t, and a 1 gallon aquarium. all of them are very healthy(even though i’m new i have done my homework) but my house kinda smells musty, and i have read that this is a good sign at a pet store, however it is not good at my house. so is there something that i can add to the water that will make it not smell and not harm my fish?
My oscar tank (72 gallons) smells funny. I just cleaned it out. Its not though the whole house just the room they are in. Is there something i can do to get rid of the smell? maybe a water change or something? Its making me crazy!
I checked the ph and it seems to be acidic, and high amonia. Im going to do a water change today when I get my kids put down. I forgot about cleaning the filters with tank water and just did them with the sink
