Well I have everything I need for a hedgehog. But some sites say a 10 gal is the minumum and some say 30 gal. I have a 5 gal with fish tank equipment wich im gonna sell for extra cash and a ten gal…the 10 gal used to house a hamster and Im wondering If I should use the10 gal or sell it to buy something larger??? And Im gonna by an aquarium no matter what so what is a good tank size? I have limited space in my room (im 13 so it has to be kept in meh room) so i was thinking of getting a 20 gal because it meets in the middle of 10 and 30
What do you guys think !?
Thanksss

How many gallons is ideal for a community tank with the following fish: 4 five in. angelfish, 3 four in. dwarf gouramis, 3 three in. silver hatchetfish, 5 four in. molly fish, and 1 five in. hammer cobalt blue lobster? Remember that they need additional space to swim.

I bought two same size (8 cm) clown fish and put them in a small (30x20x25 cm)aquarium. But they fight, one is lose, its fins is damaged and get laid down. I install glass partition.
May I pick out the partition?
Is the winner become female and the loser become male?
Should I bougth the smaller one to be prepared as mating male?
Thanks in advance

We’ve had this guy for about 1.5 years. He’s been by himself for a while, in a 29 gal aquarium. He’s about 7″ long, give or take. He pays a lot of attention to the outside-the-tank world (following people as they walk by, playing with the cats…) and I wonder if he needs friends or more space for himself? Or will I need to get a bigger tanks if he keeps growing?
Is 29 gallons enough for one 6″-8″ fish?
Unfortunately I don’t know what kind of fish he is, except that’s he’s freshwater and native to Texas rivers. Please no comments about whether this is lawful because I know that it is.
thx

I have a 40 gallon breeder tank which I’m thinking about stocking with African cichlids most likely lake malawi. I really like the ahli aka electric blue hap, however some sites say it needs a minimum tank of 70 gallons. However I stopped by petsmart today and they had two nice ones in the tank, the description said they only said they need no less than a 20gallon tank.
Personally I think 20 is to small but my 40 breeder is right between 20 and 70. Does anyone have any experience with this fish and how big of a tank did you keep it in. I don’t want to put it in too small of a tank where the fish looks cramped and isn’t happy. However I find that some of these fish info sites on the internet don’t want you to put anything that gets over 3inches in anything less than a 100gallon tank, which is kinda ridiculous. Also if you have any advice on any other malawi cichlids like the johanni etc… let me know.
