I’ve been diagnosed with IBS and probable Celiac’s Disease.
When I eat red meat, especially beef I get an upset tummy.
Is this because of my IBS? Is it common to have these symptoms after eating red meat? I’m fine with fish and chicken.

I have had a mickey mouse platy in quarantine for few days now. I put him in there because a fish that i bought along with him just died out of nowhere, and all the other fish are fine in the tank (they are the same breed). I’ve been watching him and he has a crooked s-shaped back, but he can swim perfectly normal. He is a bit skinny and his scales (between the top of his head and in front of his dorsal fin) look a bit raggedy, like a pine cone, but only in that area. Is this fish TB or something else? I’ve added some salt to his quarantine tank, it didn’t make things worse or better. He’s still eating and swimming fine, though.

I’ve had a female betta fish for several months now. She had always been very active; following my finger around the side of the tank, swimming up and down, etc. I always put purified water in her tank. However, this morning, I accidentally poured about half an inch of bottled tap water, thinking it was purified bottled water. Immediately I changed her entire water quantity to the purified water. But now, she has “clamped fins” and she stays at the bottom of the bowl, not being all active like she normally is. She will hardly move at all, and she looks sick. What can I do to help her? I love her so much and I don’t want her to die.

I know that vegetarians/vegans can get sick if they consume meat. But fish is a type of meat, so if a pescatarian eats meat could they get sick?
I hope my question makes sense.

If you are sure it never defrosted then it’s fine. Well perhaps not as tasty as fresh but not poisonous.

I found this weird reddish-pinkish thing in the bottom of his tank. I took it out and examined it and it was the color of human blood…….it kept its shape but when i poked it it seemed like a thick liquid. It was about the length of my pinky finger-nail and 3-4 mm wide i guess..im scared that this was something inside him like he coughed it up..

I haven’t been home in 4 days because of a trip but the tank has not been cleaned yet and I can’t clean it until tomorrow but everytime I walk into the room my chest starts to really hurt so is it just me or does it have to do with the tank??? It’s a 1 gallon tank with 2 Itty bitty fishies

This question is for vegetarians/vegans who accidentally ate some meat and got sick from it. This is also for former vegetarians/vegans who got sick from eating their first piece of meat.
a) What did you eat that made you sick? (fish, chicken, beef..)
b) How much of it did you eat? Did you spit it out or keep eating?
c) How long were you a vegan/vegetarian before this incident(s) happened?
d) How long were you sick and in what ways were you sick? (throwing up, stomach ache) How long did it last?
Let me know anything else. I want to eat meat as rarely as possible without getting sick every time I eat it. Thanks!
