Just new to this hobby that is quickly becoming an obsession. We purchased this 180 gallon aquarium on 3/28/09. It came with a clown, 3 yellow tail damsels, 1 blue damsel, 1 Talbots damsel and 2 Three stripe damsels. On 4/15 we added a Blonde Naso Tang. We named her Marilyn.
I am planning on buying a 150 gal. tank which will hopefully house a panther grouper ( chromileptis altivelis ), a volitans lionfish ( pterois volitans ) , and a snowflake eel, ( echnidna nebulosa ), and a cleaner wrasse (labroides dimidiatus ) or a neon goby (gobiosoma oceanops). Is the tank too small, or and/or the tankmates incompatible with each other? Thx for your time.
The black ‘palette’ stripe has become so wide that there is very little blue left on the fish….has anyone every seen this. The fish has been in the tank for about 5 months and is very healthy, has grown considerably and eats calurpa and other marine plants, mysis and brine shrimp, flake, clam, fish meat and garlic….. Why is the blue changing to black???
