so i have a 2 month established salt water aquarium i have fish only; 2 clowns (petco) blue and yellow tangs(petco) royal grama. and i want to get live rock and an anemone and other coral or stuff (please give me ideas of what to buy thanks.) and what type of anemone do you recommend for the clown fish bought at petco? i have 75 gallon aquarium, heaters, power heads, 4 stage filter, protein skimmer, sand. what else do you recomend and i know i have to cure the rock i know about that already but feel free to give me advice thanks

This rock is formed from ancient sea beds, corals and shells. It’s mostly caclcium based. There is a lot of this rock down around florida, but, I have found some huge peices in Northern Ontario by Lake Huron, they look like and mix of worm and shell fossils, wondering if this would make a good base / dead rock for a saltwater aquarium.

Answer by fishgirl yes it should be ok BUT you will have to pay close attention to the GH and KH. If the GH and KH and well as the salinity start to get out of control you may have to remove some or all of it.

I have a 30 Inch Nova Extreme T5HO X2 2×24 Watt light (marine version) that i used to use for my 37 gal Saltwater Fish Only aquarium. I am now trying to convert it to a Reef Aquarium and at this time i don’t have any more fish in it. I keep reading online and in forums that my lights have to be 3-5 watts per gallon but i cant afford to buy a light at the moment. So now im wondering if i still have the ability to house any sort of invertebrates. OR could you tell me what are good for beginners in reefs and maybe post up some reading for me^^. Thanks!!
