Which heater/filter would you recommend for a 55 gallon aquarium? ?

Question by Xanthous: Which heater/filter would you recommend for a 55 gallon aquarium? ?
I have a little bit of money to spend but would prefer whichever you think is going to be at a decent price and do an efficient job. Thanks.
I have 5 Zebra Danios, 5 Tiger Barbs, and a Black Molly in the 55 gallon.

I agree, the Zebra Danios love the currrent.

My experience with heaters is that you get what you pay for. Cheaper heaters are not consistent and usually break after a few months so i would suggest investing in a good quality heater even if it costs more. ALso, for a 55 gallon tank, i would suggest getting two small heaters to put on each side to heat the tank evenly as opposed to one large heater.

I have a 10 gallon tropical tank that currently has 2 platies and 1 fancy guppy. I am soon adding 1 dwarf gourami. After these 4 fish, i cant decide what else to add. My options are…
2 zebra danios and 2 julii cory
OR
3 black skirt tetra and a few ghost shrimp
I know these are scholing fish and i will eventually move them to a 30 gallon and complete the schools. I am just wondering what would be better for now? I want all my fish to get along so no nippers. Also, if i go with the second option, would the ghost shrimp eat enough food to clean the bottom? any help is welcome.

Its 6 gallons, it has a filter, heater, light and air pump.

It has some little tubes and a few plants(Look real). Its been set-up for 6 weeks and cycling.

What fish should I add?

I was thinking:

4 Bumblebee Goby

Would this be okay? I heard they was brakish water? How much salt and what not? How do I care for them? Is 4 okay, would I be able to get any more?

Well, I have a filtered 5 gallon aquarium and I wanted to buy 3 male guppies. The tank is decorated, but not very crowded. So do you think adding 3 guppies to the 5 gallon tank would be okay?
