Is My Scissor-tail Rasbora Pregnant?

When I was feeding my fish, I noticed my Scissor-tail Rasbora had a swollen belly. I’m not sure if it’s a Female or a Male.. they all look the same. I hadn’t really noticed it the day before. It doesn’t look sick or anything. It’s swimming fine and eating normally. Could it be pregnant, sick, or constipated?

Silver Dollar Schools with Rasbora

The pet store gave us this poor silver dollar by accident. First, it tried to school with the hatchetfish at the surface. Now it has decided it’s a scissortail rasbora. Also in this video: neon tetras, green corys, and nerite snails.

What just happened to my Rasbora Harlequin Tetra?

I was feeding my fish. And they were all doing fine. Then all of a sudden one of my Rasbora Harlequin’s that was feeding just seemed to give out. He started sinking down into the water current and floating around, upside down and on his side. About 2 minutes later he got back on balance, and threw a massive amount of food up. He’s alive right now but he’s not swimming around very much, he’s just staying in one spot.

Anyone know what might have happened to my fish?

Sick harlequin rasbora — purple skin, not eating, barely moves?

My harlequin rasbora has turned purplish and hasn’t eaten in so long– I think two weeks now –that his stomach is almost nonexistent. His skin looks stiff like plastic. He’s not gasping nor hanging by the filter, but he barely moves, just hovers over the plants by himself.

My sick rasbora: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/atokensis/sickrasbora.jpg

It’s breaking my heart to look at him. Petsmart didn’t know what this is, but they usually don’t. Is it curable? Should I put him out of his misery? How?

All my water parameters are decent (ammonia is up because the power went out at my apartment for 5 days, but this began happening before then). He shares the 10gal tank with 3 other harlequins and 3 neon tetras, yet they are all active, eating well, and are not purple.
Thank you. When I asked if a 10gal was enough the seller said “yeah, you could even get 1 or 2 more if you wanted to,” but of course she just wanted to sell me more fish. :(

I don’t think they’ll take it back since I’ve had the rasbora for over a year now. Fortunately the others ignore him completely and the rasboras seem secure in their school of 3. They like to stalk the tetras through the plants, but they never pick at them. Maybe they’re all females?

how do i know if my harlequin rasbora is preganant?

i have 5 and someone told me that the female is usually bigger.
i looked at the bigger fish but i cant tell if its just big, or pregnant?
details please.
any websites?

My endler male is trying to have sex with my rasbora?

I just put in some harlequin rasboras, and there’s an endler male constantly following ONE rasbora and trying to put his gonopodium near the rasbora’s anus? I have seen him impregnate my female guppy this way.
What’s going on? It’s been doing this for a while.
Ok, to answer this most interesting question:

okay? what the fhck. What the fhck is an endler and what the fhck! is a rasbora what the fhck do you have racoons or some **** as pets. what the **** is a gonopodium is that a racoons Nose or some shiot? what the fhck. Weird as$ question.

An Endler is a type of fish that looks like a guppy.
Rasbora is a type of schooling fish.
No, I don’t keep raccoons.
You seem to be obsessed with raccoons.
A gonopodium is a modified fin ray that acts as the male’s sexual organ.

Do Serpae Tetra and Scissortail Rasbora get along together?

About an hour ago, I purchased 2 Serpae Tetra, 2 Scissortail Rasbora and 4 Head and Taillight Tetra. Everything seems to be going fine but I noticed one of the Serpae Tetra chasing and nipping one of the Scissortails. It’s not constant but I’m not a fan of this. Should I be concerned about this? Any advice on what I should do?

Thanks
