I found a glass tank in my garage measuring 30in x 9in x 9in – about 10 gallons (85lbs of water!!!) The glass is about 1/2in thick. I want to use it as an aquarium, but I am concerned that the tank was used previously as a terrarium – and it might not stand up to the water pressure. Is there any way to measure the amount of pressure? Or test the tank before I put fish lives on the line?
I am currently preparing to build a Aquarium Stand (48×24). It must hold up to 2,000 lbs. I am using lag bolts and doubling all 2×6′s
I am testing an experiment dealing with pressure, but i dont know how to lower/heighten the pressure of a container…I thought it was something to do with a vacuum pump, but i cant remember…Thanks for the help!
fiber glass containers, it will be sturdy enough….
