Is This Rock Safe To Place In A Freshwater Aquarium?

Hi, I have this big rock (and a small one) that I found in my backyard that I want to place in my tank. At first it looks a lot like granite, but is less durable (did not pass the nail test) since it chips off and creates dust when I scratch it with a nail. It is hard enough however to scratch glass? Has a pebbly kind of look to it with a lot of white spots with gray spots within and some small amounts of brown spots. It looks quite a lot like granite though, but upon closer inspection it does not have the shiny crystals like granite. Also when I tried to disinfect it with very hot water, one of the rocks (the smaller one), cracked when removed it from the water which leads me to believe it is sandstone. Like I said it has a lot of white and grey particles which are about even in size (I’d say about 1/16 of an inch). If I’m not mistaken this rock (sandstone) is safe to use in a fresh water aquarium correct? By the way if anyone is in Southern California, does anyone know of a place where I can find some aquarium safe rocks (other than petco or petsmart).

Is Petsmart A Good Place To Buy Fish(have You Ever)?

The local fish stores around dont carry black moors so my last resort is petsmart. Is it ok to buy one, im just dreading the issue it may be sick? The petsmart seems clean, its in a suburban area so its actually very clean.

What Subjects/courses/experience Etc. Would I Need To Work At An Aquarium Centre/sealife Place?

I know its long but PLEASE read!
I’m sixteen, I’m in a tricky crisis about my career and subjects choices.
Basically i want to work in an aquarium sort of place working with fish etc. like this : http://www.visitsealife.com/Bray/ ive always loved fish and going to seaworld and throughout my life ive kept several fish tanks, im starting to get into tropical fish right now an hope to keep marine type fish some day far into the future too haha .
I was just wondering what i would need? i live in ireland just to make things clearer.
Ive picked my subjects not too wisely that i am to do for my last two years of school: French, history, technical design graphics (dont even know what it is, never done it before) and Biology. I can possibly change it if i get there in time.
Would i definitely need to do a college course on marine biology to do all of this stuff? could i get some work experience maybe when i leave school at my nearest aquatic centre (the one in the link) and just how should i go about this?
Also i dont want to be working with dolphins jumping through hoops or anything, just any kinds of marine and tropical fish/creatures.
Please advise me here, i would appreciate it alot.

What Is The Max Amount Of Water To Take Out Of An Aquarium So That I Can Move It To Another Place In The Room?

I am going to move my 40 gallon tank to another location in the room but I want to keep my fish in it. would it be ok to remove 80% of the water to reduce the weight and then refill it with clean water and dechlorinater/conditioner like I do regularly for water changes? they are cichlids if you need to know.

We are looking for a beach that has sea shells, clean sand and water, and not super, super, super crowded. I understand that its gonna be busy during the summer however. Also would like an aquarium and possibley an amusement park within and hour or two. I am not sure of what other attractions are available. Im not concerned with going shopping but I would like to stay in a place near the water. We are driving from Indiana so somewhere in the top half of florida is ideal. My kids will be 4 and 20 months when we go this summer.
Thanks a lot for any information on places or ideas you can give. Disney is pretty much out this year I think becuz its awful expensive.

I am 14, but look about 17. (tall and mature) I’m definitely NOT normal, especially in the way I like to dress. I’m into rocker/vintage/80′s stuff. I’m sick of Hot Topic and American Apparel, because everyone knows about them, and shop there. I want someplace a little different that sells cool different clothes. I mostly wear jeans and band T’s, but I would like to change that. I have this one outfit that’s awesome, and I want something similar to it. Off the shoulder sweat shirt, scruffy lace skirt, fish net tights, bottle cap necklace, and checker board Vans. (my style)
