Looking For An Inexpensive, Good Asian Restaurant Near Waterloo, London Area?

My mum and sis are coming over for a couple of days to London for a visit. And as I am planning everything out thoroughly, I am doing this well in advance. Now, in one of the days we are going to the Sea Life Aquarium + the BFI IMAX, and between those two activities I think it would be a great idea to have lunch. So my question is, is there a nice place which serves Asian food, around the area (5-20 minutes travelling time) here are more details:
* The restaurant needs to be open between the times 15-17:30, -/+ 30 minutes is fine, but it depends on the location;
* It has to be a place where we can sit down, have a chat and enjoy ourselves (so no take-away places please);
* I am looking to spend around 60-80 pounds max on four people. This is not a lot, but we are not the 3-course type of people, so we will probably have starters and the main course, a soft drink or tea and have dessert elsewhere;
* The type of Asian is more like Chinese. I am looking for something that is not too spicy, but has rich flavour. I would rather stay away from Indian. What I am looking for is something like this -> parboiled rice with eggs/vegetables, chicken that is deep fried with honey, or chicken in sweet-sour sauce, tender, but rich in flavour. We might also consider pork & beef as meat, not so hot on the fish. (Back in my country we have this restaurant -> http://www.lage.lv/ganbei/en/short_order/, that is the short menu of it, and we usually enjoyed most of what is on offer there. I know it’s a large mixture of styles, as they also serve sushi, which is also fine, but hey !)
* London Restaurant Festival is taking place, and it would be nice if the restaurant was a participant because the promotion means we could visit a better/more expensive place for the same/lower price;
Well, that’s about it I think! I would absolutely love some first-hand experiences, because I really want this to be a nice way of spending a couple of hours before catching the movie.

Question by Dolphinlover: I just recently got four “fancy guppies” and they all hang around in the bubbles near the filter. Why is that
Like I said, the fish either hang around the bubbles or hang around in a group close to the top of the tank. Also, they keep on running into the side of the tank. Please help me!!!

As long as they are moving well and you have provided a good environment, I wouldn’t worry.

I have one female G who is “adventurous” and loves to try to swim upstream to the filter outlet. She seems to be having a blast..

Planing On Setting Up A 55gal In The Near Future?

i got a 55 gal aquarium with a really nice stand on craigslist for my psp go. the trade came with a whisper60 and 30 power heads, a foot long adjustable heater (not sure what type) two hoods with lights (only one works) and about 100lbs of natural looking small polished gravel, and yes the tank and stand. the tank glass had a lot of hard watter stains but i managed to get them off with a wet rag and some ash from the fire place. as far as the other equipment, im considering trashing the hoods and the whisper60 because they were disgusting and covered with this really hard brownish gunk. it looked like the stuff hadn’t been properly maintained in like two years.probably wont use the substrate either. i cleaned the 30power head to almost perfect condition and now it is filtering my 20gal long tank.
now, i don’t have the money at the moment but i am planing to basically put together one of the sharpest looking fish tanks you could ever see. im expecting to spend around three to four hundred dollars on all of the equipment. hear is a rough list of the things im planing to buy. one piece 48″ hood, one or two power head filters or possibly a fuval canister, new heater, some natural or dark gravel substrate and an air pump. now i know that i will need allot more than this to get my tank looking like the one at your doctors office. stuff like plants, wood, stacking stones and what not. my main concern is deciding what fish i want to occupy the thing before i go and buy a bunch of miscellaneous aqua gear.
i have this newly discovered obsession with wanting an oscar or two. i know about their growth and the minimum tank size i would need for two but, you and i both know that people on youtube and around the world have put way bigger fish in way smaller tanks, so i don’t want to hear any flack for this. it is just an idea. some other fish i had in mind were the jaguar cichlid and electric blue jack dempsey. i want some bad *** fairly large fish that people would say wtf wow, when they see my tank.
lets say i did manage to house 2 oscars + pleco or EBJD. what sort of filtration would i have, substrate, decor, lighting, other possible tank mates?
i want some serious answers and keep in mind that i have not done anything “inhumane”. and i know what all of you oscar fanatics are thinking so try to keep the, you are an idiot remarks to a zero. i just want some input on what i should put in my tank.
this is an open topic for any info on recommended equipment and tank mates for a 55 gal. what worked for you? what did you pay for it? my oscars got along fine with _______.
thanks ahead of time. ten points could be yours.

Fun/free/cheap Things To Do Near Cincinnati, Ohio?

Have young children. Looking for things to occupy them during our vacation on the outskirts of cincinnati, will be there around Oct. 11-16. I know about the zoo – wondering if it will be too cold to be outdoors, we’ll have to see what the weather permits. And I know about the Aquarium in KY. Just want some other ideas.

My Fish Like To Hide Out In The Back Of Their Tank When I Come Near. Is This Normal?

I checked the levels and everything and i just cleaned the tank i also have a filter int the tank i clean regularly. I have 3 gold fish about 4 inches long from nose to tail and i use to have a beta in the tank and they got along fine but it died maybe 2 months ago and i recently bought 4 smaller gold fish and put them in the tank with the big ones. They get along great and they seem to like each other but every time i come near the tank the three big ones swim to the back of the tank and it freaks out the little ones. If i stay still long enough they come out from hiding but when i move they go back to hiding. Is this normal or should i be worried? Is there something i can do to help them?

Q&A: My new black moor fish is lying on its side near the bottom, breathing, but hardly moving. What’s wrong?

Question by indipina: My new black moor fish is lying on its side near the bottom, breathing, but hardly moving. What’s wrong?
I bought a five gallon tank last week (with filter, no heater) & “cycled” the tank…put in some stress-zyme, stress-coat, 1 tsp of aquarium salt & a pinch of fish flakes. I just bought him yesterday along with another black moor. The other one is doing fine…he’s eating & pooping well. Any idea what’s wrong with the other one & how I can help fix the problem? Much appreciated!

sounds like hes got fin rot. keep an eye on the other one. you should have let your tank sit for 28 days before adding to it.it might have also eaten too much they can die from this
