How Much Water Would I Need For Either A Single Or Two Goldfish To Survive In? I Have One Of Those Big?

over-sized martini type fish bowls. I would plan on putting greenery and pebbles on the bottom. I would not be using any kind of pump system so I would be glad to change the water daily if I had to. So, again in summary, I need to know the answers to the following questions. I do not want to do anything that would put my fish (one or two) in harms way. Here are the questions:
1) How big a fish bowl (water content) do I need for a single goldfish, or perhaps two goldfish?
2) Are there any other kind of small fish that would do better in a small fishbowl?
3) Without any sophisticated pump or other paraphernalia is changing the bowl on a regular basis
be safe — and if so, how many times a week should I change the water?
4) Would putting aquarium pebbles and greenery help the fish enjoy life/survive?
5) Does the water have to be a certain temperature and can it be water from the tap – or is bottled
water healthier? Aren’t there tablets you can drop in the fishbowl to neutralize the water, making
it safe for the fish?
Thanks so much for your input/answers to all the questions — I just want whatever fish I have to be happy and healthy. Any advice or even constructive criticism is welcome.

After How Much Days I Need To Change The Water Of Planted Aquarium?

I have 3 tanks in my home right now 1st 20 gallon, 2nd 50gallon, 3rd one is of also 50 gallon.
currently I have one 50 gallon empty. so I think that it’s a great idea to go with one planted aquarium.
coz planted aquarium always attract me.. but since a year ago I’ve brought some plants (seller said that was Amazon BANANA plants) but they have died…that time I didn’t know about co2 stuff!
now these couples of days I’ve researched on a planted aquarium and I find out that there are also many plants which grows well without co2! actually the don’t need co2 to grow like others do. like java moss, etc
so here are my questions
1] I’ve seen some videos during my research on youtube..there are my people says that now I’m gonna change the water after 5 or 6 month (for near about 50 GL tank)
so is it true that you don’t need to change the water for 5 to 6 month after setting up it well?
2]
and my other question based on the video..(link is after the question)
so If we set up a tank like they told to do in video with all fertilizer, conditioners, etc then do we need to do the same thing on every water change? and what is the period of changing the water of your tank?
coz I’ve heard also on one video that guy have planted tank and after showing the setup he said “now this set up gonna change after a year or so.”
so are those all setup like shown in video gonna get good health of plants for a year or so?
and abt the fish so I’ll go with neons and like that
I’ve golden sand, some hand size rocks, 1.5 feet sinking ship model & internal power whisper filter with foam pads & biomax which can filter water max: 650L/H, and I’ll buy a fluorescent light which will be require for 50 GL tank!
I know the question is look like an essay.. sorry abt that!
give me good info and tips! suggest a fish also so they don’t bring out the plants!
all suggestion are welcome!

Fish Tank Making Too Much Noise! Help?! >.<?

I have a Tetra fish tank that’s 1.5 gallons. The little motor is making so much noise that it actually keeps me up at night. I have it flat on the desk where i have the fish tank. Nothing is pinching the tube that send the air through, and it even makes noise after i clean the fish tank. Please help ASAP.

How Much Aquarium Salt Should I Add To These Two Tanks?

Okey dokey, so I had four guppies and three platys in a twenty gallon tank. I’d had the guppies for almost a month, and suddenly they all got sick at the same and three of the four died within two days. That was two days ago, and the one is still holding on, I don’t think he ever had it as bad as the others, but I want to keep him alive. I am going to add some aquarium salt to try and help (I think they have fin rot, and the platys are all fine. I don’t want to add medication to the tank), but I don’t know how much I should add. Does the power of the filtration matter, because it’s a pretty powerful filter compared to the size of the tank (the filter would work for a 20-50 gallon tank, and, as stated earlier, it’s just a twenty gallon).
Next tank, a five gallon, heated and filtered, tank with a male halfmoon betta in it. He bit off an entire (very large) section of his tail a week ago, and it’s slowly starting to grow back, but I think he may have been stressed out and the aquarium salt would not only help regrowth and prevent fin rot but it would also keep his stress levels down. How much for that one? Once again, the filter is for 5-10 gallons, so (since it’s only a five gallon) I guess the filter is moderately powerful for the tank.

Q&A: Is the filter in my aquarium too much?

Question by sweeperchick: Is the filter in my aquarium too much?
I just moved my three year old Betta into a new 4 gallon aquarium, which I bought as a kit. It included a filter, and after running the filter and heater for 24 hours, I have just added my fish, Rodney.

But now I am worried about the filter current. It seems like he is fighting too hard to swim in there, and he isn’t moving around too much. I wanted this new aquarium to be a better home for him, not one that will stress him out.

I don’t think the filter has any settings…it looks to be one speed only. Will Rodney get used to the current…could it be fun for him?? I have no idea, so I’d like the opinions of other betta owners.

Also, I would definitely be able to purchase a smaller, gentler filter as long as it isn’t too expensive and it actually does its job.

Thanks!

bettas aren’t very strong swimmers. i suggest getting a small sponge filter, as they are very simple and don’t produce much of a current. he will definitely be happier in his new home!

try adding some aquarium cotton to the top of the filter and see if it slows down the flow
