My fish have had Ick (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis) in my tank for 1 week now, caused by stress from some bad tank mates (which I removed). I have been treating with QuIck cure, but I have a couple questions…
1. What are the chances my fish will survive while using quIck cure alone without any heat or other meds?
2. What is the best medication from your experience?
I don’t have the money for a heather at the moment. The fish are several varieties of tetras in a 29 gallon.
Temp is at a constant 72, a bit low for tetras I guess, but they were fine for almost 2 years now

I have:
3 goldfish 2-4 inches each
55 gallon tank
perfect water quality 10-15 nitrates
I think my fish has an internal parasite.
Ive treated my fish with prazi q aka pro and medi gold from goldfishconnection.com
What type of medication should i get food, or liquid powdered etc. For parasite problems.
My fish have no visable parasites so it must be internal.Ive caught my fish yawn alot, scratch there sides on the tank bottom and are extremly listless but still eating.
And only are active at feeding times. I don’t know if its me… But i think my goldfish are losing weight to.. thats a maybe!
OK LET ME SAY THIS ONCE MORE
Ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:10-15
PH:7.8
Im sure i have enough oxygen.

Ok…I’m a 27 year old female. I’m not obese, don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t drink coffee or any other caffeine drinks other than a coke on saturdays. I started working in out in December or 2008 and started eating healthier. Well, on weekends I did have pizza or burger. I even went on Weight Watchers April of 2009 to lose a few pounds and keep me on track with my eating. I work out 4-5 times a week . I do step aerobics, small weights, spinning classes. I’ve lost 10 pounds and most my food is fat free or light or 100 calorie packs of whatever to portion out stuff so I don’t overdo it. I even take prenatal vitamins that include a fish oil pill. No, I’m not pregnant. Planning to later getting ready. All I can think of is that it’s genetic or hereditary. My parents both have cholesterol, my younger brother age 23, and probably my younger sister age 25. So someone please tell me what I can do to lower my Cholesterol and tryglicerides without having to take medications. All meds have side effects and I’m too young to be asking for pills. I don’t see any reason to go back to the doctor to get told to take a fix it pill. Here are my stats I guess you can call it…
I had cholesterol back in August 2008.
cholesterol: 253
Triglycerides: 415
HDL: 41
LDL: doesnt say
Went for another test in February of 2009 after exercising and eating better.
Chol: 170
Tri: 169
HDL: 39
LDL: 97
Went for another test in May 2009
Chol: 190
Tri: 168
HDL: 44
LDL: 112

My mom has it. And for the past few months I’ve been wondering if these symptoms I’m experiencing are asthma related. I’ve been having awful coughing fits late at night. I cough so much it makes me gag and after I’ve coughed so hard it starts to turn in like a cough that’s like that dry raspy cough. It doesn’t matter if I walk up the steps or walk across the hall, it leaves me breathless. I’m 125 lbs and I was a cheerleader at one point where I was super fit and even then any exertion just took the wind out of me. So I know I’m not out of shape. When I cough I sometimes wheeze or if I even just take a deep breath I can hear the wheezing. So I was wondering if that sounds like asthma? If so, are there medications other than inhalers? I don’t mind it so much, just the coughing fits. I can’t take those. I can’t sleep cause I feel like a fish out of water a lot of the time..

I am 28 and have always had severe depression and anxiety. After my Grandpa passed away in 1994 i began to cry all the time, stay awake thinking about death and being afraid of dying. I became angry about everything and hated doing anything. I hated going to work, I was afraid of going to work, afraid of socializing with people. I finally went to a doctor in 2005 and was put on Celexa. I took it for 2 years and felt better but finally the crying spells came back and I realised I had gained over 30lbs. I went off the medication and the withdrawl was terrible, headaches, nausea, increased anxiety, intense fear, horrible dreams, etc. My doctor then tried me on wellbutrin and that was a nightmare. I managed to lose 7lbs in a week, but had terrible crying spells, wanted to die, had the shakes all day, intense fear and anxiety, flu like symptoms. The doctor told me to get off it immediately. For a week after i still had shakes and crying spells. So he switched me to Cymbalta, same bad effects. Crying spells are worse, i wake up in the morning with intense fear and shakiness. I went off that and have been on Sam-e, Fish oil, and a multi vitamin for 2 weeks now. I’m still scared about everything, i’m afraid of aging and dying, i’m scared because i’m single and can’t find anyone. I cry every night and am more terrified than ever of going to work. I hate my job but i’m so broke cuz all these doctor visits and expensive medications. I have no health insurance and I can’t afford to keep going to the doctor and all the meds make me gain weight and feel even worse. I’m still trying to lose the 30lbs I gained and after 3 months of working out and dieting i’ve still not lost a pound and gained back what i lost on the wellbutrin. I’m really scared and sad that there is nothing left i can take that doesn’t have bad side effects. I don’t want to be on drugs at all. Is there anything I can do to stop this anxiety and depression without medication. I’m not on anything except the natural stuff and i still feel shaky, anxious, and sad. I work as a surgical assistant and i cannot take meds that make me sick or i will shake and not be able to work. I work for an eagle eyed doctor who notices everything and I will get fired if I take anything that has bad side effects. Please help!
I also would like to mention i still take klonopin and xanax but it doesn’t seem to help. The xanax makes me tired and when i wake up after taking it i feel like i have a hangover. I’ve just started Klonopin and i don’t notice much of a difference. I am on the smallest doses of each. I also find that the only think i enjoy doing is shopping, so rewarding myself with something i want only makes me happy for a day or so and my friends and family are calling me a hoarder cuz I have so much stuff
I also was seeing a therapist for a year, it cost $75 bucks a week and the only one in my area with a sliding fee scale was 45 minutes away and i’m terrified of driving. I also don’t want to gain weight, i used to be so thin and pretty and all the SSRI’s and other antidepressants make you gain weight. Ive been to many doctors for my thyroid, hormones and metabolism, all agreed after many tests it was the antidepressants that caused me to gain weight. I’m going to be depressed if i take an antidepressant and gain weight. I work out very hard now, 5 days a week, plus jog and walk daily and 1500 calories a day, i still cant lose a pound and my trainer doesnt even understand

well, i have a 10 gal tropical freshwater tank and i have some ‘Pemafix’ medication leftover from a fish i had before (i cheched, the meds dont expire till the end of ’09) and i also saw this stuff called ‘Melafix’ since this stuff is only like 8$ a bottle, i was wondering if geting the Melafix as well would be REALLY good to have on hand, just in case cuz they apparently treat a bunch of different bacterial/fungal infections. also do either of them treat these:
ick??
cotton mouth??
and, last but not least, fin rot??
thank you SOOO much in advanced
PLEASE tell me premafix treats fin rot!!! if it doesnt im going to cry because i lost a fish to finrot. they sold me premafix at the petstore saying it would treat it!!
