What do i need to start a 25ltr marine tank a list please?

hi i have a 25 litre wall aquarium – would i be able to have it as a marine tank? if so what list of things would i need to buy for it? what names of fish could be kept in it? and how hard is it to maintain? i have never kept fish before so i dont understand alot of what i read so please reply in simple terms lol
thank you
ok, in that case can i have coral in a tropical tank? and what would be the best bright coloured fish to have?

How do I set up a marine fish tank? 10 points for best answer?

Okay so I’m converting my 30 gallon to a FOWLR set up. I’m going to stock it with one dwarf fuzzy lionfish (and if compatible a load of those little janitor hermit crabs or snail, do i have to supply new shells for the hermit crabs or do they stay really small?) any way. I’m going set it up so there’s a good layer of coral sand substrate, and a cave/overhng made out of live rock, around the rest of the tank there will be live rock as well. So basically how i’m wondering how you set it up.

I guess that i would get all of the mechanical stuff (lighting, skimmer, power heads) and set that up with the substrate in and then fill it up with salt water and turn everything on. Correct so far. Now what do i need to do before i add the live rock? Obviously i’ll leave it for the temperature to get up and stabilise then after what, a few days i test water and gravity and go and by the base layer of live rock. Do i need to buy all the rock at once or can i add it bit by bit?

So at this stage the live rock has just been put in. What do i do? I know i won’t be adding fish for ages. So do you just leave the system up and running as you other wise would? Do you need to (this might sound stupid but i think you do) fertilise the live rock (i mean additives to help the organisms grow? How long to i let the tank sit and cycle?

So those are the main points i need to know but please give many other details if you have them.

Help me plan and stock my 30 gallon marine tank? Questions about fish possibilites? 10 points for best answer?

Okay so don’t worry i’ve had freshwater fish and now i definately think it’s time to move onto something more of a challenge. I also closely know a really good lfs that will help me out a lot. But basically i’m planning to have a mini protein skimmer and all the stuff that a small marine tank has. Now for fish i have a few questions: (by the way the tank will be fish only with live rock until i feel comfortable to add some corals or an anemone in the future)

1) I definately want 2 ocellaris clown fish, lets face it they’re essential to any marine tank in which they’re compatible. So do they need an anemone?

2) Bangaii cardinal fish, so i hear that they’re best in pairs because they get quite aggressive to the odd one out. Any thoughts on these guys?

3) Green chromis, okay so i hear they’re relatively peaceful and a good little fish. I know they’re damsel fish but do they like to be kept in groups? How many could i get (comfortably) in the 30 gallon?

4) Longnose hawkfish, i’d love one of these guys (only one) and i can’t see why i’d have many problems with one. How does that sound?

5) Schooling fish, i really want to have a schooling fish, any suggestions?

6) Coral beauty angel fish, don’t really want one but i may as well throw it into the mix, any opinons on these guys?

7) Bicolour blenny?
8) what is an ideal anemone for the ocellaris and how hard are they to look after? (don’t freak out about it i’m not going to be getting one the first day i set up the tank)

So an ideal first stocking would be:

2 x ocellaris clownfish

1 x longnose hawkfish

and

6 x Chromis (if they like to be kept in groups, or another schooling fish)

How does that all sound and please give me any suggestions but i definately feel i’m ready to go marine.
I would also love some type of cleaner shrimp, ideally the skunk clener shrimp (lysmata amboinensis)

Thanks
I don’t want to add all of these fish. They’re just some fish that i’ve read are suggested for marine beginners, they are some of the fish i would like to incorperate and with the information given i’m wanting people to give me suggestions on how to mix and match them.
