How Many Cups Of Red Sea Salt Should I Put In A 240 Litre Tank ?

My dad is setting up a marine aquarium. He has bought red sea salt and has bought 660 litres so he has enough to do water changes. The only problem is we have no idea how much to put in the tank now.
How many cups/mugs do we need to put into his aquarium.
Or is there an easier way to find out how much to put in ??

How Many Fancy Goldfish For A 50 Gallon Aquarium?

Two whisper 60 filters going… Would do live plants except the goldies would eat them all… Do fantails like heat? I was thinking 4-5 fish as people have said something like 1 fancy Goldie per 10 gallons. I was thinking of getting a black moor or two, an oranda, and maybe some veil tails.
Thoughts, ideas, advice? I’m pretty experience keeping fish and until recently had a thriving aquarium filled with rummynose tetras until someone brought a friend over who thought t would be fun to see what happens when you drop a soapy malachite rock in an aquarium…
Anyway… Love to hear what you think.

How Many 2-3 Cm Fish Should Be Kept In A 10 Gallon Aquarium?

I don’t want to end up in a situation where I have fish dying from stress due to too large a bio-load in my tank, so would anyone be able to advise on the realistic maximum number of small (neon tetra sized) tropical fish that could be kept in a tank roughly 10 gallons in size?

How many angelfish can fit in a 110 gallon tall aquarium?

Question by Christopher: How many angelfish can fit in a 110 gallon tall aquarium?
Can anyone who knows about freshwater angelfish recommend how many angels I can stock into a 110-gallon “tall?”

Just setting this big boy up, need to get it ready and start cycling it first, so the animals are a ways off – but when it’s up and running I’m envisioning a planted “angel tank.” Probably do some cories, pleco, and “durable” tetras as well – but all that’s going to be secondary to angels as the main focus of the environment.

I know pairs in spawning always become an issue – would I have room for multiple pairs in a tank this size with relatively few foreseeable problems? I ask that with a grain of salt, of course.

Thanks.

– Chris
Thanks for all the informative help so far, folks. I should clarify – I was thinking about a bristlenose pleco, or something of that “dwarf” pleco variety, not a common pleco. Are bristlenose okay, or are they probably not a good option either? I’ve heard of adult angels eating otocinclus before, and I’ll need something for algae control. Thanks again. :)

in my 55 gallon i keep 3 so to the fact you can keep about 7 but only if this were a normal 110 gallon tank since this is tall you have less surface area for water to oxygen transfer so i’d say 5 no angels aren’t as aggressive as some say as long as you keep them well fed and clean water(doesn’t need to be clear) they will be fine with each other also they like to explore that’s why you’ll need driftwood in the tank, may i suggest some dwarf ciclids to be your angels tank mates they get along fine and can be come friends

How many watts for an aquarium heater for a 20G aquatic turtle tank?

Question by Br14/\/: How many watts for an aquarium heater for a 20G aquatic turtle tank?
Hi there, I am planning on purchasing an aquarium heater for use on my 20G aquatic red eared sliders turtle tank. But I have 2 problems with this. 1 being that I do not know how many watts to use for power, and 2 being that my turtle tank is not filled up all the way to the top. My tank is a bit hard to describe, but if you go Google “Zilla Aquatic Turtle Tank Kit” you will see the tank. The tank seems to have a cut out piece on the side to fit the filter into so the water level is really only 5 and 1/2 inches when filled to touch just below the water outtake of the filter.

My question is, how many watts do you think would be good for a tank like this? Considering the tank is only like halfway full of water, would a 25W be good? I heard on other sites that people suggesting a 50-100W is good for a 20G, but I’m sure their tanks are filled with more water. Hope to get some replies on this because I have my tank near a window in my room and in the morning the water is really…really cold. Turtles are not supposed to live in the cold I’ve heard. The 25W is in my price range too so if a 25W is good for the tank, I am purchasing it as soon as possible.

Thank you to anyone who replies.

100 Watts is the minimum for a 20g tank. remember your turtles will get very big so you will need a 120 gallon tank in about 6 months. To save money, you can look on craigslist and see if someone has an aquarium heater or accessories and ask for the heater for your price range.
