Recently when I have been eating I have had a strong urge to throw up. I already don’t like eating but even foods I do like such as pot noodles, noodles, ginsters slices, mince, chicken, and lentil soup is my favourite but I struggle to eat without pausing, or feeling like I’m about to gag. Or when I’m moving dishes or old wrappers out of my room etc I feel I’m gonna drop them and run to the bathroom and throw up even if I don’t feel sick.
I can eat things like sweets, yum yums, crisps, ice cream, rice etc without a problem because they are small, flavoured and usually solid. And I get a horrible crawling feeling in my throat.
I cannot eat eggs, anything thats average or ‘just cooked’ it needs to be well over cooked or I will get a badly upset stomach, I need a lot of peppermint tea and frankly I want to cry because I just can’t eat hardly anything I sit there looking at it like *looks and looks away trying not to gag*
Strong sugary flavours or minty flavours are fine for some reason they don’t make me want to gag, sometimes I see them as disgusting things like excrement or get sudden visions of it in my head even if they look nothing alike and can’t eat my food.
I cant eat anything dairy (can’t even have milk anymore without gagging and getting a bad stomach) no fish, no beef apart from mince but I do get a gag problem there sometimes, no soups, no watery foods, no tomatos I have always had a gag problem with them the list goes on and on.
I can eat potatos, gravy, sweets, junk food (although lost my ability to eat donuts) grapes, strawberries, blueberries, raw carrots things along those lines.
What could this be? I’m frightened to eat anything and I’m a bit underweight as it is, I’m not too scared of gaining weight but its when I see the food I want to gag and I have a severe phobia of vomiting now I’m too frightened to eat anything good for me in case I start gagging or get a bad stomach. Someone help??
Don’t say doctors because I can’t get to the doctors and they’re useless anyway mine just sends people off for counselling which doesn’t even work for every problem.
