I have a sick red devil fish with some white looking fungus or bacterial infection, what should i do?

I took him out of the tank with the other red devil that seems to be attacking him since hes been sick. I put him in a big bucket with a water pump and neutralized the water. I actually trapped him and put a tiny bit of antibiotic ointment on his infection.
I don’t think its ick, i think it has another name, but i’m not sure. Its a cottony looking thing. Will the ointment hurt him in small doses

Gourami fish has the pop eye infection IS HE IN PAIN?

We have taken good care of the tank it has been thoroughly cleaned and the water, filter, rocks, crystals have been changed. We have followed the medical regimen precisely.
We’ve done all that we know how to do from research and from the pros at petco.
I’m not sure if he’s doing better….it seems the infection is coming off but his eye the white orb has bursted and seems to be expelling the puss but his eye is veiny and bloody :-(
This is the second time he’s had this! his other eye seems somewhat blind due to this infection from previous years….
I am just very concerned if he is in pain….I don’t want him in pain!
is there anything else I can do for him?

also if u can: please say just a simple prayer to God to help him please??????
his name is Physh {pronounced “fish”}

I care so deeply for him

Fish – Swim Bladder Infection?

Trying to figure out what’s going on with my Molly’s and Swordtail. My Black Molly appears to have its belly area deflated and “sits” on the bottom. My Silver Molly swims/treads vertically and also appears to have its belly area deflated. My swordtail won’t get off the bottom and appears to have his belly deflated.

Everyone else in the community appear to be doing fine.

All chemistry levels in the tank are within my test kits guidelines except for Nitrate (I’ve asked how to reduce under separate question). Not too far over 40ppm though.

I’d consider my tank’s up-keep fairly good so I’m thinking it’s not a water chemistry issue.

My fish keeping books only mention fish diseases that deal with visible parasites.

I caught a brief article on swim bladder infections. I don’t have a lot of experience with disease other than the usual (ick).

Can anyone please be so kind as to elaborate? Maybe with a diagnosis or treatment recommendation?

Thank you kindly.

How do I treat a stubborn bacterial infection in betta fish?

I have a very sick betta fish. I am certain he has a bacterial infection (red streaks, fin rot, eyes are bulging a little, gills are red and inflamed). He will not eat the medicated antibiotic food made by Jungle Labs. He will eat his normal food however (Hikari pellets).

I am treating him with Maracyn-Plus by Mardel. It’s a broad spectrum antibiotic that works on gram positive and gram negative bacterias. It has Bio-spheres that attach to the fish to help it heal. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be helping. Mardel Labs says not to combine Maracyn-Plus with any other antibiotics due to how it’s delivered (the Bio-spheres). I am wondering if I should add or switch to Maracyn-Two but don’t want to make matters worse. From what I understand, Maracyn Two might be a better medication given his symptoms and the fact that this medicine is also absorbed by the fish.

The ammonia levels in his three gallon tank are low and his mini-heater is keeping the temp at 80 degrees. I don’t know about nitrate/nitrite levels. I was doing many water changes, but not since I started the Maracyn-Plus three days ago.

My vagina smells like rotten fish…… Yeast infection medications work for awhile then the smell returns.?

ANY ADVISE????????

Question about bacterial infection in fish?

I have been treating my goldfish for an internal bacteria, only a pet shop bought treatment, and my fish seemed to respond to it and I thought she was doing well but tonight shes really bad the red she initially had on her body is much worse, its around her face, on her underside, and some odd bits on her tail, I think she got the disease from a new goldfish I bought that died a few days after I brought it home, I stripped the tank have cleaned everything thoroughly and have put aquarium salt in and have treated the tap water, Im unsure whether or not I should get her out of the tank into some safe tap water, or would that be too stressful?? any advice would be much appreciated!!

Sick betta- fin rot AND fungal infection? Please help :(?

I recently noticed that one side of my betta’s gills are swollen, with white cotton-like patches on them.

His fins also seem to be getting a bit shorter, (the long tendrill-y parts are disappearing) and the “webbing” between the fins are thinning, and are now partially see-through.

I purchased a bottle of myxacin, and have dosed my 3-gallon tank according to the instructions, but it didn’t turn my tank water any colour. Is this okay, or am I underdosing?

I also plan on giving him a methylene blue bath- is this advisable, and is it okay to do this while dosing the main tank with myxacin?

And the myxazin pamphlet says to dose daily for 5 days, but did not mention if I would have to perform a water change.
Do I need to? If so, how many % water change would be good, and how often?

I have been “bothering” the tank alot recently since I bought a new tank, with plants and other accessories on consecutive days, so I’m worried that my betta might’ve gotten sick due to the stress of new tank + constant disturbances.

I’m worried that carrying out regular water changes would stress him out even more, because even a 20% water change seems to freak him out at the moment.

Also, the myxazin bottle said it was a 5-day course, today’s the 4th day, but neither the fin rot nor the fungal infection has seemed to improve.
Is it okay for me to continue dosing after 5 days?

I have also recently added about 1 and a half teaspoons of salt to the tank water to discourage bacteria growth, along with the water conditioner and the thing to help plants grow.

Is the aquarium salt okay? Or will the sudden addition of salt stress the betta out or worsen its infection?

He’s eating like a little pig as usual, is very active, (more active then usual- either the infection is bothering him or he’s very happy about his new accomodations) and still fully flares whenever I put my face too close to the tank, haha.

Also, it seems my betta’s face/mouth/eyes are also a little swollen, the eyes with a little ring of white around the bottom, where it sticks out from.
I’m not too sure if it was like that before, since I previously had no light to closely scrutinise my betta.

So to summarise the questions (in the hopes that all of them can be answered, because the last time I asked, I got very vague answers)

1. The myxazin didn’t turn the tank water any colour, am I underdosing?

2. Should I carry out a methylene blue bath, while I’m dosing him with myxacin? Or is the bath not advisable at all, even on its own? Should I dose with methylene instead/ dose together with myxazin?

3. Do I have to perform partial water change regularly while dosing him? How often and how many %?
(Even a 20% water change freaks out my betta now though!)

4. Is it okay to dose with myxazin for more than 5 days?

5. Will the addition of aquarium salt further stress him or worsen the infections?

6. Should I be worrying about the seemingly-swollen face/ eyes?

Sorry for the really long question/s, am very worried about my betta :(

Thanks so much for reading, hope to get some answers that can help me out!
