I originally bought a marineland 200 watt visi-therm and it held a constant temp of around 80 even though it was set to around 77. Then it just stopped working although the light would flash off and on my temp held around 60 degrees… An I havnt changed it from it’s original setting. Now I have an aqueon submerg 200 watt… It says it’s for 40-70 gallons or so and I figured this range would let the heater work less… But again my heats set at 77 and the water just hit 84 degrees!! I will be highly distraught if my fish die! Lol could this be the case where bigger isn’t always better?

Heater Question? (please Don’t Comment On My Aquarium Size)?
I have a mini bow 1 aquarium with whisper 3i filter and I was thinking of getting a heater.
