guys I have a 50 us gallon tank.
and I’m gonna put 1 green terror (2.5 inch) for sure!
now here comes the tank mates time…
so here is my options..
1 more green terror of the same size (are two male fight if yes then I’m gonna get female.)
or
1 texas 2.5”
or
1 or 2 red jewel 2.5”
or
golden severum 2.5”
so how much & who i can add in that tank along GT!
don’t tell me that you can’t keep more than one GT in 50 gallon…just suggest tank mates from these or other than these guys!
try for texas!
plenty of places to hide in the tank…
try to suggest fish so that i can keeep al least more than two…
suggest on the basis of aggressiveness.
and yahh one more thing that I’ve heard that the overcrowded tank decreases the aggressiveness is it true?
if yes then tell how much i can keep at maximum
all suggestions are welcome!

I have a 10 gallon tank w/ some plants in it. When I’m done cycling it I would like to have
4 GloFish (The ones that Glow, not goldfish)
3 Panda Corydoras to clean the bottom
3 Otos to eat algae
I know it goes over the 10 inch rule but i’ve heard these fishes have a very small bioload. So could I have these fishes if i do once a week gravel cleanings and 25% water changes? I got 3 or more of each because i’ve heard these fishes like to be in groups.

Hello!
In the past, I tried taking care of a Betta I had been given as a gift. I was given a tiny (1/2 gallon) bowl to keep him in, along with a polyester plant and some gravel. Over time, as he got sicker and sicker, I read up more on Bettas (I didn’t do research beforehand because I didn’t realize I would be given this fish) and started buying more and more equipment. Unfortunately, I did all this for my Betta too late to save his life.
I’m planning on getting another fish, but this time around, I’m determined to get everything ready for Mr. Future Fish beforehand.
Here’s what I already own:
- A 2 or 2.5 gallon bowl (I understand that some people say this is too small for a Betta. Others say that 1 gallon is the minimum size. I feel very strongly about keeping this size bowl, since I simply don’t have enough space for a larger bowl or tank.)
- A Theo Hydor adjustable mini heater. (I used this for a few weeks with my first Betta, constantly checking with a reliable thermometer that it kept the bowl at a good temperature. I’m very happy with it.)
- Gravel
- One silk plant (I have two polyester plants as well, but I am concerned that they snagged my first Betta’s fins.)
- Water Conditioner
- A BiOrb Cleaner Pump (This was so awkward to use. Does anyone have a better suggestion?)
- TetraBetta Floating Mini Pellets (My first Betta hated these–he’d refuse to eat them, just spitting them out. Any better suggestions?)
- Freeze dried bloodworms (My first Betta gobbled these up like candy, though I hear they’re not a wholesome diet.)
I am planning on getting a water test kit — http://amzn.com/B000255NCI.
I want to get a filter for Mr. Future Fish. It needs to be small, quiet, and low-flow, since he likes still water. Do you have any recommendations? Is this one–TOM Aquarium Mini Internal Filter 45gph adjustable flow (http://amzn.com/B00176GKM8)–okay? Are there any better?
Also, do I have to use gravel? The first time around, it just trapped random debris, and was so hard to clean. I did full water changes, though I’m not sure if that was a good thing.
Thank you so much! Mr. Future Fish and I are so grateful!

i am an experienced aquarium keeper i have 3 55 gallon tanks at the moment and 2 twenty gallons as well. i want to get a 125 gallon tank and have a “in-wall” setup for the tank so it can be seen from both sides. does anyone have any ideas of how to make it look really good with this setup. i know i am going to have to reingorce the floor and i was going to use 6-8 pressure treated 4x4s in the basement to support the floor and add extra 2x4s in the wall to help support all the weight. i just need ideas of how to set the whole thing up.

What kind of fish can go in there. We have had a betta fish in there, but he died. I am thinking of something else now… tetra’s or danio’s were recommended to me in the pet store, but I believe danio’s like to be in groups and swim too fast for a 5 gallon tank?
Any other ideas? Any other pets that are easy?
I have a small heater that can go in there, as well as a small filter.

I need some good ideas for stocking a 55 gallon aquarium with heater and filter. I know I’m putting in a Tiger Oscar, Pleco and Redtail catfish. I want something exotic, like a turtle or salamander. Can anyone find a turtle that doesn’t grow much? P.S – I know the Redtail Catfish will grow big so, don’t bother me with that. I planning to buy it a inflatable pool, when it gets really big.
