Will Moving My Fish Transfer The Planaria From The Tank?

I have a ten gallon tank that I left my brother in charge of for a few months. I just got back and found it to be disgusting. There is algae all over the place and the tank is infested with tons of planaria. I want to move my snail, and possibly my black kuhli loaches, to a small tank I have with a betta while I clean the big one. Will moving them transfer the planaria to the other tank? I don’t want to infest two tanks.
Also, I have read that some smaller fish will eat the planaria. What types will do this best, I am looking into getting a couple new fish anyway.

I Would Really Like Some Seriouse Answers Please And From People Who Know What They Are Talking About. Thx?

Note: all prices where converted to us. I am studying to buy a next aquarium for christmas, I wanted to know if I should buy the complete 3 gallon kit for us$65, a bare 15 gallon for us$37, or a bare for 35 for us$110? Please I really need help. And I pick specific fishes for the tank sizes already.

Where Are My Paramecium Coming From?

I originally had a fish tank with zebra fish for about a year. I assume that buying the fish gave me some extra pet paramecium. Just for curiosity’s sake, after I got rid of the fish, I decided to clean the tank well with vinegar, fill it again with water, and add a little milk. The water sat under a fluorescent light. To my surprise, I still had paramecium after a few days. I repeated the process again. This time, however, I cleaned the tank very thoroughly, added water and a little milk, then let it sit. Again I had, among other microorganisms, many paramecium. Where the hell are these paramecium coming from? Am I just not cleaning the tank well enough to eliminate them? Are these paramecium airborne? Are they coming from the milk? Again, I am not seeking to exterminate paramecium. This is just a curiosity.

How To Get Rid Of Excess Bleach From Over Bleaching Aquarium?

My Boyfriend did not listen to me when i told him how much bleach to put in the aquarium. I’m pretty sure he put in half a jug of bleach. I ended up needing a smaller tank and he gave me his. I don’t want my fish come to any harm. What should i do? I added Kent Marine, Pro-Ammonia Detox and Stress Coat. I was planning on leaving it for a day then rinse it out but for how many days should i repeat this?

I Thought My Betta Fish Was Green When I Got Him From Petsmart But He’s Actually Kind Of A White See-through..?

I later realized it was probably just the water color that made him look greenish. Now that he’s in clean water for 6 hours he’s primarily a see-through kind of white with thin strands of greenish blue coursing through some of his long fins and he’s got a little pink around his body, but it’s very faint and is only seen in the light. I’m wondering if he’ll change colors (sooner rather than a color change because of old age or something) once I get him on a proper diet and he’s lived in his big 10 gallon tank for a while…?
Obviously I won’t treat him any differently if he stays his whitish color, currently I’m just a little disappointed and wondering if anything can be done to make him more vibrant or something… or if there’s any chance of him changing color sooner rather than later.
Thanks!

Is there any way to use your filter from your 12 gallon? Also put the substrate from your 12 gallon tank into stockings or media bags into your tank and filter. You can also reuse all your decorations from the 12 gallon as well. Every surface has bacteria on it and there is enough in the 12 to handle the bio load for those fish. Wait about a week before you add any other fish. And check your levels. In a couple weeks you can start removing the bag of substrate and old filter.

Upgrading From A 60 Gallon Saltwater To 145 Saltwater Need Some Help On Cycling?

I have a well established 60 gallon fish tank that is in my room and i stuck the 145 right next to it temporaly so I get get it cycled before I have to empty them in buckets and move the 60 out of the room and the 145 where the 60 is..
My plan is in the next few weeks, add about 1-2 gallons of the established water from my 60 gallon to my 145 gallon. I can only add about 10 lbs of live rock, and no sand considering the weight of the 1/2” thick glass.. Or should I and just empty the sand when I move the tank? Two weeks should be good if I am adding established clean water right? Also tomorrow im going to add the starter bacteria stuff that comes in the bottel and poor it in there. good idea?
help me out a little.. I probably left some stuff out.. im not to much of a newby ive beeen in it for about a year or so and i did freshwater before for a few years.
Give me everything you know, thanks OOH and also ive heard not to add ANY fish to cycle it,, what about hermits? or one damsel? something small,

If I Buy Sheets Of Acrylic From Home Depot, Can I Seal Then Using Just Aquarium Sealant?

I’m not thinking of anything too big, nothing more then the size of a 40 gallon tank, but i would like to do this as a cheaper alternative to buying a big 40 gallon tank. I am wondering however, once i make my calculations on size of the pieces can i just use aquarium sealant because the pieces aren’t too big and make it a usable aquarium? Thanks.
