i have ick clear medication, but a friend suggested to just put salt in my tank.
i know its like 2tsp per gallon, and to dissolve the water in a bucket first, then slowly put that bucket of water into the tank. and then after like 7 days the ick should be completely gone.
but my questions are; i have tiger barbs, neons, platies, rainbow shark, and 2 german blue rams..will all these fish be ok with the salt? or am i safer just using my medication that i have?

The tang has been eating a ton, you can see his belly is full, and he is always eating the hair algae on the back of the tank. Is there something wrong with it changing colors or any info on why this has happened would be great. 130 Gallon reef tank with a puffer, and lion fish.

The species of fish were:
Moorish Idol
Porcupinefish (or Pufferfish)
Marble Sea Star
Blacktail Humbug (or Four-Stripe Damselfish)
Pacific Cleaner Shrimp
Yellow Tang
Royal Gramma
What about with a False Percula (Ocellaris) Clownfish or a Regal Tang?
All I know is that at least three of those fishes are extremely aggressive…
