nats or fruit flies in my fish tank how do i fix this problem?

i have fruit flies or nats in my fish tanks light hood, and they don’t seem to go away i clean the tank its clean and after about 2 days there in the hood again and water is clean i dont know where they are coming from, there is no garbage by them or any food so i dont know. what can i do to fix this problem, do snails eat this little nats since they are on hood, should i get one or two? i dont know?

Need to capture and breed fruit flies!!!?

Ok so I need some fruit flies for my baby carolina mantis but I dont feel like buying any :\ (damn you consumorism!!!)

I have a fish tank set up with foil over the top with a 1inch hole poked through the top, inside 4 cups watered down ketchup+yeast+sugar and in the center beneath the hole a banana peel on a plate.
will that be enough to catch fruit flies?

and once I have the fruit flies how do I go about breeding them?
what are some ohter ways I can catch fruit flies?
