Answer by tish the only thing for that tank is shrimp, snail, or a plant, no fish will do well in that small of a tank (i would’nt even put a betta in there) it’s too hard to keep heated and make sure you keep up on water changes, that size tank is alot of work

Creating a beautiful aquarium is easy with these Vividly Aquarium Decor
They are anchored with a weighted ceramic base, so they will stay where they placed in the tank
Absolutely safe for fish and best of all, they won’t die, rot or cause any algae problems
These Aquarium Orange Decor are durable in salt and fresh water
Each package contains 2 same plants, each one measures approx. 13 inch long
The Float Plants Aquarium Decor allow the aquarium to become a living place of art, while providing excellent hiding place for fish;

Question by : “Fish only grow as big as their tank”?
That’s what I was TOLD at Petsmart by multiple employees and one customer.
They said I could pretty much get anything for my 10 gallon tank and that it “wouldn’t outgrow it” somehow. Then again, they were extremely rushy with me, told me I got a goldfish when I actually got a type of Barb, and now that I think about it…. was I being lied to just so I would leave the store?
is it really possible that a Tinfoil Barb will only grow “about 8 inches” instead of the 14 inches or whatever, just because she’s in a 10 gallon tank?
I feel pretty stupid now, but am more angry than embarrassed considering I’m on a VERY tight budget and can’t afford a huge tank if my fish outgrows it..

Answer by el0w How did you get a tinfoil barb mixed up with a goldfish? Just go to petsmart and return/exchange the barb for the fish you want to get.

Baltimore: National Aquarium – Bottlenose Dolphin
The National Aquarium in Baltimore, at 501 East Pratt Street on Pier 3 of the Inner Harbor, is the most visited attraction in Maryland, with an an annual attendance of 1.6 million to see its collection of approximately 16,500 specimens and more than 660 species of animals. The aquarium, which opened in 1981, consists of three buildings joined by a single enclosed walkway/bridge. The larger building, Pier 3 Pavilion, designed by Massachusetts-based Cambridge Seven Associates, Inc., under the architectural direction of Peter Chermayeff, contains the main gallery, which overlooks a the Wings on Water, a large pool occupied by rays, tarpon, and a green sea turtle. The gallery begins with a series of upward spiraling floors connected by long escalators, featuring fish from Maryland, up to a rainforest habitat inside a 64-foot high glass pyramid. A downward spiral exits back to the main gallery, surrounded by an Atlantic Coral Reef exhibit and a shark tank. The smaller building, Pier 4 Pavilion, was added in 1990, and features dolphinarium and temporary exhibit space. A multimillion dollar renovation and expansion in 2005, led by Bobby C. Poole at Chermayeff, Sollohub & Poole, added the Glass Pavilion, which features Animal Planet Australia, a large-walk-in aviary representing a river gorge in Australia.
Question by cherryfox22: What type of fish is this? Video! ?
Excluding the fact that these fish are overstocked, incompatible for the most part, and the tank is far too small, I ran across this video and was wondering what species is the whitish “shark” (there are also two silver ones of the same species) in the tank?
Not the bala sharks
Don’t worry, I’m not going to go buy a 20 gallon and stick ten of them in there or anything like that, I just want to see if they are even a possibility to keep in my 100 gallon or so future tank (I really wanted silver shark catfish, but I still think 100 gallons is too small for them) Worst case scenario, I’ll just do lots of pictus :0)
(For some reason though, I keep think Pang/Pangeo is the start of the species name? )
Thanks rush! I love the link as well, I saw the black catfish at walmart before, I couldn’t believe that they were selling them!!!! They really should stop selling all those fish commonly, it’s just sad. And dam can they get huge, that one the guy is holding resembles nothing of the cute fishy in the tank. Yep, looks like a large school of pictus it is
Best answer:
Answer by ~Rush~ The white sharks are Albino Iridescent sharks, or (Pangasius hypophthalmus) so you were right on the money.
Definitely not a candidate even for a 125g, these guys get huge. Check out this article about oversized fish sold in pet stores – http://www.oscarfish.com/article-home/fish/92-giants-part1.html
I’d stick with the pictus cats. Definitely more manageable size wise.

Question by xDDD: What’s a gravel vacuum and siphon? [First time cleaning a 10 gallon fish tank?]?
It’s my first time getting some goldfish, and I know I have to clean the tank in two weeks.
But, I was just wondering what a siphon is and a gravel vacuum?
Do I need one to clean my fish tank, or no? Because everywhere I look up “cleaning fish tank” each article talks about a siphon and gravel vacuum.

Question by Kylie Anne: why do fish die?
yeah… basically all my female bettas are dying except 3 (one of them is currently breeding). the three are fairly new, one’s probably 2 yrs old, another is probably about 1.5yr and the other is probably right around 1yr old, maybe younger, I only got her a month or so ago.
anyway, they older ones aren’t sick or anything, just old. well over 4yrs old. they’re pretty beasty. this year they’ve slowed down a lot, and now the younger ones have started picking at them and taking over (especially the “pet/favorite” of the alpha, she’s really following in her foot steps, I guess it’s good they still have a leader). they mostly sit on the bottom and they just look awful. I know the alpha is going soon, she can barely swim long enough to eat, which was her favorite activity.
makes me sad, I wish they didn’t have to die. anyway, anyone else have sad dying fish stories? I could use some sad stories so I don’t feel so crazy to be so attached to “just fish”

Question by Chellie: my betta fish has fin rot pretty badly.?
I keep him in a seperate tank of about 2 gallons of water and change his water every 5 days so that it keeps fresh. I do a complete water change and I only use filtered bottle water which I know is clean and has a good pH level. I have only had him for two weeks and the little guy is looking pretty bad!
I have him now in a 1/2 gallon “hospital” tank and has cleared his old tank out and washed it and put it in the sun to dry. I am not sure what the “hospital tank” should be like except for the water has conditioner in it and a 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Please give more advice as to how I should treat it please?
Okay so I live in South Africa and this is a HOT country so no need for the heater thing! Also, the fish is in its own 2 gallon tank and all I have in the tank is some pebbles and a live plant (guess I have to throw it away now because there is bacteria on it? I buy the RO (Reverse osmosis) water from the pet store where I got him!
I only wash the tank with salt and hot water.
Can someone please tell me how I can keep my aquarium’s water safe without adding a filter? What is this water-circulation/changes all about? Is it like, I only replace the water of 1/4 (of the tanks water) every three days or how does it work?

Answer by Jacob Get a medication to go in the water that treats fin rot from a pet store NOT FROM WALMART!!!! Walmarts medications do not work!!! Tetra is a good brand.
Question by mr_kevin2000: Convict cichlid fish compatible?
Im planning on getting another species of cichlid to add in my 50 gallon aquarium with 3 convicts.. (2 female and 1 male) anybody know any fish that are cichlids that are compatable with convicts being limited to 50 gallons?
Best answer:
Answer by ♫Hailey♫ i have the same number of convicts and almost the same size aquarium (mine is bigger)
i have these with mine…
-2 peacocks
-1 catfish
-4 electric yellows (1 male,3 females)
-and some more but i don’t know the names
if you are planning to breed them do add to many other fish to the tank with them because the convicts will kill other fish (they are very Territorial)
also…
you need to be aware that convicts breed lots and you need to be ready to take care of their fry!
