I bought a Black Moor fish about a week and a half ago. They told me it was okay to put him in a bowl. So I bought a fish bowl, and some of those colorful rocks to put in the bottom. I cleaned his tank yesterday but when I filled it back up with tap water and put some of that AquaSafe stuff in it, the water was still foggy. I thought maybe it was a film coming from the rocks. But about three days ago I noticed that my fish has white spots on his body, and there seems to be more now. Today I noticed a giant white spot above his eye, but its gone now. I looked online and it said that he probaby had “Ich”? I dont know what to do to fix this. My mom had a fish and she used to use distilled water and that seemed to help the fogginess. I just need to know what to do, about the foggy water AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, the white spots. I’d be absolutey devastated if I lost this fish. Help please? Thanks so much.
Also, my fish keeps coming up for air every five seconds, like he’s sucking the air. And there are bubbles lining the top of the water. What is that?

There are some little weird brown slug things in my fish tank, are they harmful to my fish or do the just move around? Please help! I’m worried about my fish!
no, they’re in small shells, and don’t wiggle, but thanks for answering!

Okay, here’s my problem. I have three goldfish in a ten gallon tank that I’ve had for about three years. I used to have five. Two were claimed by a mysterious infection that started about six months ago.
Symptoms: fuzz that eats of tails of my comets and grows on the heads of my “common Goldfish.” (It’s only killed my comets) The two fish died at separate times. I can usually spot an treat an outbreak before it turns deadly with an anti-fungal/anti-bacterial tablet. The problem is, the outbreaks always come back, and they seem to be getting worse. My fear is that the infection will grow resistant to the medicine I’ve been using. I haven’t had a proper cartridge in the filter for about three months because you have take the cartridge out to put in the medicine and the infection always comes back before I can get new ones.
How can I get rid of this fungus once and for all? It’s taken the fun out of fish keeping.
Would it help to perform more frequent water changes? Can I add more than the recomended dose of medicine?

the stuff on the top of the water is thick (not length wise) so thick it doesn’t really let air bubbles past them

Hes like a 1 3/4 inch fish, and I just won him at a carnival. I have no idea how to care for a goldfish, I dont know where to buy a fish tank or bowl for it since there are no stores around, im not planning to buy online. So I put him in a plastic container with some kind of food that came with the fish. it’s like a bit smaller than a whole peppercorn, why isnt he eating it? Its been 45 minutes.
Also, do I need some sort of chemical for the water? Will regular tap water do since my tap water is drinkable? Please provide some help to a noobie.
I should have picked a small turtle, lmao, so much easier to take care of. i think ill just keep him for a while, but if i think that hes dying, i might donate him to the schools aquarium
He’ll just probably die :-/
But for now Ill do my best to take care of him. I cant go and get a biggger tank, i dont even have a proper fish bowl or tank, I just put him in some plastic container. Ill do my best to ask my friend for her to ask her mom to drive me to walmart or somehtng but as for now, he’ll just have to put up with me, or ill have to put up with him. hes so cute though =)
