Will A Fiddler Crab Harm My Fish?

I have a 30 gallon aquarium with one angelfish, 2 pangasious sharks, 6 tetras, one black ghost knife fish, one pleco and a snail(not sure what kind but it’s about the sizE of a gumball and when it retracts it has a hard round piece of cover to protect from the bottom).
I want to get a fiddler crab and I want to know if it will be safe to keep in my tank. I don’t want it to harm my snail Gary. None of my fish either. Will it harm my fish since it has a big claw? Please I need an answer and advice.
It is a fresh water aquarium.

What Kind Of Algae Eater Will Live Best With A Fiddler Crab?

I just wanted to see what different types of algae eaters (sucker fish) will go well with a fiddler crab. And yes I know crabs have to get out of the water, he’s got a nice plant/rock that he can climb up onto. Anyways, he does a pretty good job at keeping the floor of the tank clean, but the sides of the aquarium are starting to develop a thin layer of algae. So I would like know if there’s a sucker fish that will clean the sides of the tank and get along with the crab at the same time…thanks =)

i have a mystus, a bumblebee, and a pimelodus ornate they all can eat medium goldfish . I was try to change up they’re diet a little.

ok so i wanu get fiddler crab. this is my shopping list:
1. 10 gallon tank
2. Filter for the water portion side.(i need a bit of info on this.
3.Sandy gravel
4.fiddler crabs
5.plants,decorations
6.aquarium salt.
7.uhm light
8.heater
yeah thats it i think? oh yeah and food of course.
i also want to breed them later on. can i get some info on that. maybe some links that would be great! best answers 10 ptz

So i went to walmart the other day and I bought fiddler crabs. I didn’t know they needed salt and Oxygen. In walmart they didn’t have a place to get to land. So i didn’t know and i bought them. I heard that they needed to have a high Hp. If that’s true how high does the Hp have to be. Will they die if you a pinch of Table Salt/Iodized Salt? I only added a little bit. What kind of salt do they need and how much salt you need to put. I have to crabs in a 1 gallon fish tank. I only have it burly have way full. Where could you buy it too? My crabs are kinda big. I bought them 3 days ago. I have 2 crabs. Please help. If their is other information i need to know please add it in your answer. Thanks for everything.

Is a fiddler crab an easy pet to keep?

I’ve been looking for hours trying to find a nice little pet for a 2.5 gallon rectangular fish tank. I saw some fiddler crabs at a petsmart near my house (I probably will buy them from a more “humane” place) and I saw there and read online that they grow to only about 2 inches!!! I was sooo happy. I went home and researched around the internet. Turns out they’re semi-aquatic, brackish, and freakin cool-looking. I figured they could live in a 2.5 gallon with one or two at the most. I also have some sea-salt, a heater, a light, and various rocks+gravel laying around. I only need the tank, a filter (brackish water safe), and the little guys of course. I will not buy an aquarium kit ok. So really what I’m asking is this:
-Can I put a male and female (I know the hatchlings won’t live) or two males together?
-Is there a hob filter for this size? (if you can get a link to one, that would help, A LOT)
-2.5 gallons is sufficient as long as they can get to dry land, right?
-Can i feed a fiddler like a sinking fish pellet or algae wafers?
-How much salt should be in the aquarium water? Please tell me in tablespoons or something, because I don’t know the measurements that go according to 4 digits like this: 1.024, 1.004, 1.019, etc.
Thanks in advance for your answer. If you could point me in the direcetion of some care sheet, It’d be much appreciated :)

Fiddler Crab Crabitat Setting Up Questions?

I am beginning to set up a 29 gallon fiddler crabitat. All I have right now is two bags of sand (50lbs per.) but they’re not in the aquarium yet. I plan on making it half land, half water, and having the water deep so that I can also get some rosy red minnows to make the tank look nice, and also maybe be feeder fish for the crabs.

Here is my questions:
What gender and how many fiddlers should I get? I am thinking that I want both male and female.

Can I use a wood board to keep the stand up then use gravel to make it slide down to the water for them? Just so that it’s easy to keep the sand from not moving?
Can minnows be kept in the aquarium with them/will the fiddlers eat them?
What do they eat?
is a 29gal big enough for 3-5 fiddlers? How many max? Including one male. or two if I have 4+ females.
I already have a 29gal–it’s where my goldfish used to live before they were moved to the 55 for the cycling and after they’ll be in a 100-150+gal pond.

The 29 is empty right now, I am going to add in the sand as soon as I am better (Sick right now) I am thinking of getting glass to put half way through so I will fill half with sand, the bottom of the aquarium (water side) with sand with a long path up with gravel and put 2-3 minnows in for food. I had minnows in the passed, but killed them all due to adding too much aquarium water coloring for outdoors. Oops. Mine grew to around 2″ longest before I killed them all. >.<
