I Bought A Black Moor 2 Days Ago And Now She Is Sick. Please Help!?

i bought a black moor from petco for my daughter 2 days ago, her name is Dunce Dunce
when we got her she was pretty spunky. i put her into a 5 gallon tank with filter.
i used filtered water and let it sit for at least 24 hours before DD went into the tank.
i also used some of that water treatment that came with the aquarium kit.
so yesterday i noticed DD was sinking to the bottom and slightly swimming sideways.
now she is just hiding in the bottom corner and not moving at all.
she seems to have turned more of an orange color or at least lost a lot of her color.
her tail looks sad and i swear one of her eye popped out. not fell out but swelled up, i really don’t think she had that when we bought her.
please can someone help me? is she in shock?
i really want to help this fishy survive!
oh and the temp is around 74, i did not check my water
as i do not have a tester kit. should i buy one today?
and please don’t lecture me about the tank size, this was a gift
and we went to the store to have them help us find a good fish for the size of tank.
the worker suggested that i put 3 goldfish in the 5 gallon tank and i thought one was enough.
now that i have researched i know that DD will need a bigger tank, and if she survives this I will save up for a bigger tank for her.

Do I Have To Cycle A Tank? Or Can I Just Use Water Conditioner And Let It Run For A Few Days?

Okay, so about 3 days ago (also running the filter)I put water conditioner and Ph stabler in my 10 gallon aquarium. Do I have to cycle a tank and add ammonia and all that crap? — If so could you PLEASE tell me how to fully cycle the tank because I have no idea what I’m doing. Oh, and also, my tank is getting cloudy and there aren’t even any fish. Please tell me why it’s doing this and how to fix it please. Thank you!

After How Much Days I Need To Change The Water Of Planted Aquarium?

I have 3 tanks in my home right now 1st 20 gallon, 2nd 50gallon, 3rd one is of also 50 gallon.
currently I have one 50 gallon empty. so I think that it’s a great idea to go with one planted aquarium.
coz planted aquarium always attract me.. but since a year ago I’ve brought some plants (seller said that was Amazon BANANA plants) but they have died…that time I didn’t know about co2 stuff!
now these couples of days I’ve researched on a planted aquarium and I find out that there are also many plants which grows well without co2! actually the don’t need co2 to grow like others do. like java moss, etc
so here are my questions
1] I’ve seen some videos during my research on youtube..there are my people says that now I’m gonna change the water after 5 or 6 month (for near about 50 GL tank)
so is it true that you don’t need to change the water for 5 to 6 month after setting up it well?
2]
and my other question based on the video..(link is after the question)
so If we set up a tank like they told to do in video with all fertilizer, conditioners, etc then do we need to do the same thing on every water change? and what is the period of changing the water of your tank?
coz I’ve heard also on one video that guy have planted tank and after showing the setup he said “now this set up gonna change after a year or so.”
so are those all setup like shown in video gonna get good health of plants for a year or so?
and abt the fish so I’ll go with neons and like that
I’ve golden sand, some hand size rocks, 1.5 feet sinking ship model & internal power whisper filter with foam pads & biomax which can filter water max: 650L/H, and I’ll buy a fluorescent light which will be require for 50 GL tank!
I know the question is look like an essay.. sorry abt that!
give me good info and tips! suggest a fish also so they don’t bring out the plants!
all suggestion are welcome!

Your tank is way too small and the goldfish are poop machines. You really need to get at least a 20 gallon tank, which you will need to upgrade in the future. If you want your fish to live and you won’t take them back to the store you need to be doing many water changes. I recommend taking them back and getting a betta.

My Fish Has Stayed Inside His Container For About 4 Days Is This Good?

I have a beta fish and when I got him, i had to keep him in a container so i can get his tank prepared and everything. After a day before i put tapped water in for at least a day and his water was all pink because of the pink rocks, so I cleaned the rocks but the water is STILL pink. So his container now, is a little dirty and a lot of poop inside at the bottom, but i don’t know how to clean it until the water in the tank is in good temperature. And my fish looks like it’s banging it’s head on the container because it wants out.. I don’t know, that’s what I think. Apparently, it’s bad to use tap water so I’m using bottle water, is this good? Also, how do i put a beta fish inside a tank WITHOUT a net? Thank you so much, Please give a lot of information for my fish sake!

I Have To Go Away For 3 Days- Will My Fish Be Okay!?

Hi! Ok so I have a 20 gallon tank with 6 male Guppies and 4 Julii Cories. I had to go to Delaware for 3 days with my family for my brother’s baseball tournament.
*On Friday morning at 7am I fed them before school.
*On Friday afternoon at 4:30 I fed them again.
*Then I left. I left the lights off.
*It’s now Saturday night and I’m just worrying about them.
*I will get back home Sunday evening.
I usually feed them twice a day so they aren’t used to this… are they going to be okay!? I am so worried that I am going to get back and see them all dead! :( What if there is an ammonia spike!? What if they are too hungry? What if they become sick? I love my fishies too much for them to die!
Do you think they will be alright?

Just got a Yellow Mimic Tang, and it has turned from yellow to a brownish color in a few days, why?

The tang has been eating a ton, you can see his belly is full, and he is always eating the hair algae on the back of the tank. Is there something wrong with it changing colors or any info on why this has happened would be great. 130 Gallon reef tank with a puffer, and lion fish.

I have a coral banded shrimp and the first few days he was fine now he is lying on his back is something wrong

The shrimp is just lying there on his/her back like it is dying. Is this normal or is it sick. Someone please help because if i can save him/her i want to. Thanks in advace!!!
I have picked him up and i know he is alive. I just can’t figure out what is wrong. I hope I haven’t killed him.
So it is possible that it’s shedding. This is my first shrimp so I don’t know anything bout them. Is that how they shed by lying on there back??
Oh well I just checked the tank and he died. I’ll keep trying and thanks for all the answers!!
