I just cleaned my betta fish’s tank and then the next day when i got home there was this ball lying at the bottom of his tank. It has happened before except it wasn’t a ball it was long and stretched out. i thought it was his poop but it was too big. So now i think its a piece of his tail. the ball is the color of him,…. so i don’t know what is it, does anyone know?

Question by juggalette: Why are my “sharks” laying at the bottom of the tank?
Hi, I had a 10 gal tank at first it had 2 molly fish, 2 bola sharks, 3 gold fish. well I moved my 2 molly fish into a 20 gal tank same with the bola sharks they past away ): but i gave my sister the 10 gal with the gold fish. well, I got a hole new fish for the 20 gal. I have 1 rainbow shark, 2 plecostomus, 3 ghost shrimp, 2 zebra danios, 2 gouramis, 1 chinese algae eater, and 2 red fin sharks. one red fin is 6″ and the other is 2″. my 2 in red fin shark is at the bottom of the tank and has been for 2 days same with one of my mollys the ph is where it is so post to be and the water is good nothing is wrong I have a filter and a bubble maker in it all the other fish love it but the one molly and the little shark is in the same corner with my live plant what could be wrong should I worry or is she/he just confused cause its in a new tank?
please and thank you for your posts
Ill get a bigger one later but not to be mean but no one answered my question I know all about how big of a tank I should get… I just dont have the money at the moment..

I cleaned my tank today and put my two balloon mollys back into the tank. One molly is perfectly fine, but the other one is laying upside down on the bottom of the tank. I thought he was dead, but he is still breathing and moving his fins slowly. Usually if I tap the tank, he would swim very quickly but he wont move?
Any ideas as to why he is doing this? Or why it is just one fish?

You need to buy a siphon kit or drill some holes in your tank and make an overflow. I recommend buying a tank with an internal overflow. It’s cool and easy to set up. Only catch is it is not cheap.
Cheers

I got 4 pet goldfish a couple of weeks ago and now one of them (only one!) Is sort of hovering above the bottom of the tank all day in the same spot. He didn’t go up to the top to eat
He has been sitting there all day. I did a 20% water change and vacuumed the gravel and I’m about to clean the filter. He seemed to perk up just a LITTLE when I topped the water up. Is my fishy friend going to die? I love him a lot and I don’t want to lose him. PLEASE HELP ME xx

Hi everyone, I have a 5 gallon mini bow aquarium with filter, light, live plant, the works = ) It is currently housing 2 tiny rosy red minnows and 1 tiny goldfish. I was going to put a betta in the tank but felt sorry for the feeder fish so ended up getting them. The 3 fish to include the goldfish are half an inch to 3/4 of an inch, very small. I have had large aquariums in the past and have a 55 gallon saltwater so I know that when the goldfish starts growing I will need to find him a new home with a pond. For now he is happy though. My question is what type of bottom feeder could go in this tank? I have had cory catfish but know they have to be kept in groups and really was looking for something very hardy and that doesn’t need to be in groups do to the size of the tank. Also, has to be able to be in a cold water tank that stays around 72 degrees.
Thank you everyone for your help
