I’m converting my biOrb life 30 aquarium to a marine environment (with the marine conversion kit), and I was wondering a few things about the process:
1. Can I buy filters identical to the marine filter supplied in the kit or do i just use normal freshwater filters when i change the filter in the future?
2. Can I buy salt identical to the salt supplied or will any brand of salt do fine for use when changing the water?
3. With regards to the “clean up crew” – how many do I need, are there any that are particularly easy/difficult to care for, do i need a different kind of food for them, do they have any other requirements?
4. Do I still use the stress coat solution in the same way as i did with a freshwater aquarium? (the stress zyme was mentioned in the set-up manual but not the stress coat)
5. What fish would you recommend for a relative newcomer to marine fishkeeping?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
(P.S. I’ve read the reviews saying that the biOrb isn’t the best aquarium etc. so please don’t lecture on that! thanks
