My Betta Fish Is Being Weird?

My female betta (yes im sure its female) I’ll look in the tank and she’ll be missing. i’ll look in the plants, in the corner she likes, and i cant find her. well Today i looked and i saw her, she dug a decently big hole in the gravel against the back glass of the tank and she was laying down in it. sideways. is she sick and dieing? D: Because shes new, young, but ive never seen her do it before. maybe its just a habbit? or shes dieing? >_< Ive noticed she's really taken to going up into the corner she dug it by, she goes right up to the top almost outta the water and just chills there for hours. Anyone know whats wrong? =/ any help would be greatly appreciated. thx <3

I Am Being Forced To Eat Fish?

My mother is making fish tonight and i asked if i could make my own dinner but she said I have to eat it. Whenever i eat of smell fish I gag and I cant stand it. Every time I tell her that she says I should be greatful that she is feeding me well and that it is good for me. It cant be good for me if it makes me feel sick. She just cant get that through her head and i have dealt with this my whole life. I eat other things that i hate but im forced to anyways but she crosses the line when I am forced to eat fish. How can I change her attitude towards this….I dont think its right to feed a child food that they really hate and gag over.

Questions Of Being A Marine Biologist?

Hi guys I’m a freshman in high school and my dream job is to be a marine biologist. I love the ocean, fish, animals and I love science. I just have a few questions I couldn’t find the answers to when I was researching this job.
1.) Do you get to travel? Like study maybe in Hawaii’s water? Or the Bahama’s waters? Oh how about the Bermuda Triangle? :D
2.) If so for how long do you have to stay there until you get to come back home?
3.) Do you get to dive a lot?
4.) Me being only 14… (turning 15 this year – December) do you think I could do volunteer work at an aquarium?
5.) What other things can I do to help me be a marine biologist?
Please provide any helpful information or maybe tips. Thank you!

Do Fish Ever Fake Being Sick?

I know this is kind of a weird question, but I noticed one of my four goldfish coming down with dropsy, so I isolated it in a different tank and I’m treating it, and the other three fish who were acting completely fine and healthy before I took the other fish out have been floating near the top where the sick fish had been floating before. Is there something suddenly wrong with them or are they just pretending to be sick or being weird?

my ex dumped me last year in a really hurtful break up, was october i think, and everyone had told me to move on so this is what i attempted to do thinking it cant be that hard as there are plenty of fish in the sea :) , but since we split my ex has had 3 or 4 bfs, and i havent even had any girls even interested in me unless they were needy attention seekers to which i just push away, and im starting to feel unwanted
but to be fair my ex dont even have to try, she is quite shy and she just gets attention from guys, while i dont really get the same attention from women
why is this???? im really sick of it, im an ok looking guy and im i got a nice personallity, does it really work differently with men and women?

Delta Guppy Behavior Being Weak, Inactive, Stay At The Bottom?

I have 3 guppies and 3 other compatible community fish. They are living together well but the delta guppy seems aloof and uninteresting to mingle with other male guppies. They don’t bully him, he just stay away from any other fish either floating at the surface or laying on the bottom. Is he sick? He doesn’t show any discoloration at all, should I move him away?

He is at the bottom of the tank somtime close his mouth other time opening and closing
then he swims up quickly gasp for air then he kinda floats down but other than dat somtimes in the morning he hyper and swiming waitinng for me too feed them wats wrong with him all the other 3 are fine i knoow i think it might be cause there pack its 4 golfish including him in a 19 gallon tank if dats the case i upgrade them But all the other fish are fine
