Parasite bath for fish and plants and snails?

How can I make sure feeder guppies have no parasites before I add them to my little tank. Like some kind of bath or some thing.
I also want to do the same with my aquatic plants. It must actually work. I don’t want to use medication from the pet store.

will a salt bath be good for my beta fish to treat some weird strands coming out of his gills?

i was looking up what could be wrong with my male and it could be parasites or flukes. im not really sure but ive had him for over half a year and this is the first time ive seen something wrong with him. he lives with 4 other different types of catfish and they all seem fine. if a salt bath is good for him, i want to know how to give him one and what to use for it. also i would like to know how this could have started since he’s been perfectly healthy until now. i have a couple live plants and a few silk, the normal stuff. i had a marble molly that died recently in the same tank as my betta and i know that fish release some sort of gas or toxin when they die. could my molly could have done it? but i started seeing these strands just before the molly died. but anyways, to sum it up, why does my betta have strands coming from his gills and how do i give a betta a salt-water bath? thanks!!!

Can I put my turtle in the bath tub to exercise?

I scooped one of those little baby turtles from a beach shop and he’s in such a tiny little aquarium thing. Should I fill the bath tub up just a couple of inches to let him swim around? Or will the chlorine hurt him???
okayyy just to back myself up..this turtle isn’t a sea turtle..it’s a like..land slash water turtle that beach shops happen to carry, but they could be carried in like..mountain shops too. and it’s been in captivity since born so it doesn’t know any better. and i’m a kickass captivator..he gets to sleep on my pillow :)

Bio Balls, Green Plastic Toy Soldiers, or Plastic Bath Scrubbies for Wet Dry Filter Media?

I just bought a used 75G acrylic tank with a built in wet/dry system, but it didn’t come with anything but the tank! I know wet/dry provides great filtration. I am doing a planted freshwater tank and I also know I should add a mechanical filter to pull out debris and decaying plant material, polish, etc,… but what do I put in all those mysterious chambers in this wet/dry system? I assume some sort of sponge material should go someplace, then I need what? Bio balls? I heard green plastic toy soldiers work well, but I think that must be just a charming aquaria myth. The man I bought the tank from said he just used plastic bath scrubbies from the dollar store. I am no stranger to aquaria. I have had tanks for over 30 years. But this is my first time at bat with wet/dry and it is on a tank with some crazy compartments on the back and it came with no instructions. Once I buy a pump and watch it go I’m sure I will figure it out. But I am wondering what media works best for you? And if you have any leads on instructions for a 75 g with a built in w/d filter, please hit me up. I have looked. I came up with squat. Thank you for your time.
