Question by Xanthous: My brother has recently obtained a “Bala Shark” from a pet store while buying nothing to take care of it…?
Can anyone give me a run down of what exactly I’ll need to take care of this thing? I do surprisingly have a 55 gallon tank downstairs. Thanks.

pretty sure it is not ick. They look like little white bumps all over. only not sporatic like ick. they showed up about 3 days ago in my main tank. no fish has been added to this tank in at least a month… not even feeders. its an 80 gallon freshwater, regularly changed water, mostly cichlids. none of the other fish have any spots. i have quarantined this fish in a backup tank that i have. any ideas?
i add aquarium salt after every water change.
its not ick. ive had fish long enough to know what it looks like. the bumps are smaller, and in the quantity they are in this fish would be dead if it were ick. and yes i change about 1/3 of the water every week
no… its not the only one in there. its the only sick one. and for some reason the cichlids leave them alone. they only pick on each other.
1 Male Betta, 2 Clown Loaches, 1 Bala Shark, 2 Dwarf Ottos. Custom Seperator in place to seperate Betta, but he seems to get along with everyone for now. They seem to enjoy this tank setup, moving from side to side, chilling out on the quiet side and swimming and playing on the filter/air bubble side.
How much money would i get for my bala shark ? he is 9′. my friends mom got 75 for a 5 1/2′ or a 6′ bala shark. How much would i get for a 9′ or 9 1/2′ ?
Three bala sharks being chased by a red tail shark just after being fed. The red tail shark is upset because the bala sharks want to eat food by sifting the rocks down below. Red Tail sharks are very territorial.
