What Do You Think About My Lifestyle ?

I’ve been doing insanity for almost 6 months ..not following the schedule. I lost almost 45 pounds with a healthy diet… Since then it’s hard for me to do normal workouts because I feel like i’m not working hard enough since insanity .. Currently I’m mixing my workouts between insanity, insanity asylum, yoga strech and plyo from p90x and finally I do 2 times a week 20 minutes a session bowflex … So all around I workout 5 days a week mixing everything up …. I eat very healthy and clean lean meat like : Fish lots of vegatble and fruits , milk … I eat 3 meals a day … people say that I am to intense and I should calm down working out because I’m starting to look a little to skinny for my frame…
So what should I do to maintain my weight and manage this lifestyle … Any nutrition and workout tips would be appreciated …anything …
Tanks a lot !!:)

How Much Do You Know About Betta Fish?

I just got a male betta and I want him to stay happy and healthy. What type of tank should I get (size, filter)? Does the water need to stay at certain temperature; should I get a heater? What are the best aquarium decoration? Best food? Any other tips are appreciated. Thanks!

Q&A: About Jungle’s Fungus Eliminator?

Question by MLJ: About Jungle’s Fungus Eliminator?
Now I’ve called Jungle about this particular product and asked them what I have to do in order to get the “Yellow” color of this medicine out of my aquarium water. They said when I put my charcoal back into the filter that will clear up the water.
Well, ok however I don’t use activated charcoal I use the carbon pads, and I’m not seeing the water getting any clearer. So before I go out and have to buy something I don’t have too.
Has anyone ever used this product “and” how did you get rid of the yellow water?
And thanks a bunch all of you who answered.
Oh and how long did it take for the water to come back to normal????

I haven’t used this but I have used ich medication that turned my water blue. You just have to wait for the colour to go away but water changes(20%) will help once you are done treating the tank.

Question by savannah: some questions about aquariums and fish?

2. does it have to be salt water?
3. can i put other fish in there with it or will he/she eat it?
4. what do they eat?

i will answer in order of the number
1) 40 gallons
2)no there are sharks that are freshwater like rainbow shark and bala and red fined shark
3) i would suggest putting a shark with fish that are around the same size or maybe bigger because they can be aggressive fish
4)they eat fish flakes
5) they like a big place to swim they like plants if your going to get a shark you must have hiding places
6) you clean them the same way as other fish.. duh

What To Do About Sick Betta Fish?

I have a two year old betta fish, who lived in a bowl with plastic rocks and plants for most of his life until recently when I got him. I moved him into a 2.5 gallon (I’m moving him to a 5 gallon if he gets better), with real pebbles, thoroughly cleaned, and real plants, neatly taken care of and trimmed, and a heater, and he’s been so happy and very active ever since, until about a week ago when I went on vacation.
My dad was supposed to take care of him but he’s not very good at it. I don’t know if he was under fed or over fed, and my dad left his bubbler on which stirs his water a lot and stresses him out, and the tank was filthy. He’s been laying on the floor and barely swimming or eating ever since. I completely cleaned out his whole tank because it had a few green spots what looked like mold on the side and a slimey residue, and way too much food and poop that I didn’t want trapped in the rocks.
That was about a week ago and I see no signs of improvement from him, and even worse I see green spots of mold and more slime in his cleaned tank! The rest of the water is clear though and I’ve been changing a fourth of it everyday, and I’m afraid if I change it completely again it will stress him out, because I hear you’re not supposed to do that often. I put drops in the water, how else can I stop mold from growing? Could the mold be whats making him sick?
I don’t want him to die or be sick for much longer, what can I do? :/

A Few Questions About Bettas?

1. Does anybody know where I could find bettas with unique colors and/or patterns? You know, other than the ones you usually see at stores?
2. If I were to keep a betta by itself, what is the recommended size of aquarium I should keep it in? Not bigger than it has to be, but not so small it’s sad.
3. Can you keep bettas with other fish in a tank? (My tank has a golden wonder killifish, 3 comet goldfish, 2 blue gouramis, 1 gold gourami, and an albino cory cat)

What Do You Guys Think About This Tank?

Ok so I own 4 saltwater tanks and 7 freshwater tanks.I have kept fish since I was 8 (I’m 24).I’m a marine biologist and know a lot about fish.So my cousin knows I love fish and decided to bring me a “little surprise”, he came to my house with a 10 gallon tank with 5 X-ray tetras, a Male Betta and a ghost shrimp! I pretty sure that this tank is overstocked.I had no option and I had to take in the fish tank because my cousin was going to kill the fish!!! So I take VERY good care of my tanks. The tank has a filter that’s up to 20 gallons and a good heater, I will clean it once a week (25%).How long do you think these fish we be alive for? From a scale from 1-10 how overstocked is it? Any suggestions?

Im Concerned About My Fish Tank?

My 55 gallon tank is only a month old, my fish are doing well and everything seems to be right on track. A couple of weeks ago I noticed it looked cloudy, It’s hard to explain but here goes….When it is foggy outside and you can actually see the moisture in the fog, that’s what my tank looks like. I was told not to feed them as often as I was and that maybe leaving the light on was causing algae but I cleaned it yesterday and my plekos are keeping it pretty darn clean. We purchased the huge pump/filter that goes underneath the cabinet and I know its doing its job but I just don’t know whats causing it to look foggy. Any info will be helpful
