Stocking a 12 gallon aquarium (12 gallon Eclipse with heater and included filter.?
I am going to get an eclipse 12 gallon aquarium and I’m also going to buy a heater. The substrate is going to be sand and it will have live plants. Here’s my stocking plan. 6 albino cory catfish, 2 African Dwarf Frogs and a veiltail female betta. I already own the betta and need to get it a new tank because it’s currently living in a 1 gallon tank with an air pump, rocks, and decor (I understand this is an improper tank, but as of right now she’s doing fine. Would I be overstocking my tank and/or placing incompatible fish in the tank, I want them to be happy. Also I can’t what heater to get. Should I get 50 watt or 100 watt? Please give me a link to a HIGH QUALITY heater under or around 50 dollars. Thanks and an additional advice would be extremely helpful as this is my first tank (except for the one I have the betta in and I don’t call that a tank). which fish should I use for cycling and after cycling what order/how should I introduce my other fish? Also How do I convince my parents to let me get it. They don’t know I want this yet because im not sure how to approach them about it. Parents, what made you let your kids get a fish tank? Teens, how Did you convince your parents to allow you to have the tank? I plan on buying everything my self by working at my parents restaurant and I currently take care of my tank all by myself and have plenty of room. I think they’re just gonna say you don’t need any fish at all mention it again you’re grounded. Thanks for reading the long question extra tips greatly appreciated!

Your corydoras basically stock the aquarium by themselves. You could push the limits by having the cories and the betta with no frogs
