@bobbisax No it looks worse than it is. It’s just pure mud. Even I wasn’t sure at first but you get used to it quick.
I must say, that mud doesn’t look too “clean”. Does it smell?
you would do alot better if you place the pump directly over the hole not on an angle but great vid:)

Those are Ghost shrimp…. The females without the big Claw are reddish. The males generally tend to be more clear.
i forgot to menshion thay are called sand shrimp nor gost. gost are clear transparent and hard to see. the ones you are getting is rsand sh

You can buy the ghost shrimp pump at most local saltwater tackle stores. Just go to Dog Beach in Mission Beach to pump for ghost shrimp.
