Saltwater fish tank need?

i have a freshwater fishtank now 20 g and what would i need to have a saltwater fish and aquarium
i have light filter air and what else should i need like the most important and then anything else
what fish can i keep or how many
do i need like something that i seen in other answers of something like protein skimmer???
i think if i would be able to keep a yellow tang or some small fish and what would i need i just have a freshwater tank and just none of my fish have died and i have guppies so what importantly do i need

It also takes more than what this guy above me stated. What I mean by this, is Yes you need those things BUT its very very hard to Start up a tank. Besides getting the PH correct…you also need starter fishes(Damsels or anything cheap) because they Will Die.
I would say get a book.
A 20 gallon tank is extremely small for a salt water tank. You might be able to keep 2 or 3 small hardy marine fish but not any more. You will also have to cycle your tank for salt water nitrifying bacteria and you should start with calcareous substrate like crush coral or coral sand so it will help buffer the ph and hardness of the salt water. Starting with live rock will help seed your tank with nitrifying bacteria and give your marine fish some cover. Try a mini reef type environment if you can’t get a bigger tank. You may need to invest in a better lighting system if you want to keep corals but for coral banded shrimp you might be able to get by with what you have. Good luck! You will need it!
